“Amazing ride”
Reviewed 9 May 2014

The first thing you notice is lots of people. Then there's lots of Statue of Liberty Models who will let you pose with them for a pic, if you pay them $2. There's some live dance performances going on. Food, ice cream and stuff. Off course some old Harbor plaques and statues describing its history, erected in the memory of men who who no longer live. But the highlight is the cruise on a big boat which takes you "for a ride" around the Statue of Liberty, the Manhattan Bridge and all along the New York Skyline. Live commentary makes it even better. There's even a Helicopter service for those who can afford. The views are scenic and the boat ride a memorable experience. Too bad they don't let you go to the place where the Statue of Liberty actually is. On the way they show you old jails and immigration areas, history in words and live. Just loved it.

“Circle Line Cruises will take you there!”
Reviewed 26 March 2014

A good way to see the harbor is through a daytime or evening cruise with Circle Line Cruises. They do a wonderful job and offer you a choice of cruises: either the lower half of Manhattan island or you can circumnavigate the entire island. Either way, you get up close with the Statue of Liberty and cross under the historic Brooklyn Bridge with lots of history and anecdotes along the way. Highly recommend!

“One of the Best Scenic Harbors”
Reviewed 15 March 2014

There are several ways to see this beautiful harbor. One of the greatest views is from the Staten Island Ferry. Both the departure from Lower Manhattan and the approach to Lower Manhattan are fantastic. Another great view is from the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Try looking over from the Brooklyn shore. Of course, the Verrazano Bridge has a great view of the Upper and Lower New York Bay.
The views from Battery Park across the Harbor towards New Jersey, Staten Island, and Brooklyn are are great. A walk along the Lower and East and West Sides of Manhattan are also fantastic.
There are several excursion boats and tours that sail the Harbor.
Do not miss the views of the Harbor.

“NYC at night”
Reviewed 5 March 2014

We, a party of 4, booked our dine & cruise with World Yacht from pier 81, on our last night in NYC prior to going up to New England & Canada the next day on NCL Gem.
We had booked the Gold package with a guarenteed window table, but the view of NYC at dusk was magical and ave us another view of the city, having been up both the Empire State & Rockerfeller buildings. The food on board was of the highest quality & our waitress for the night was really good fun.
Sailing down the Hudson at night is really special and seeing the Statue of Liberty was relly spectacular, the floodlights showing off her best features, and going under the Brooklyn bridge was really cool.
All in all a perfect finish to a great 4 days in NYC.

“Very Neat”
Reviewed 11 January 2014

A true new York city experience. Smell the fish that were caught today and watch the hustle of the coolest city in the world. You can imagine back in the day why this city was becoming what it is today. Very neat and a must do on your travels in NYC.
