It's a beautiful cathedral and transports one to the famous funerals that have been held there. I liked the idea that you could choose from many different saints to light a candle. A mass started while we were there, but they allowed tourists to continue to mill around at the back despite that, just asked us to be respectful of the service.

Very ornate. Convenient to the Rockefeller Center. No charge so worth a few minutes to view.

Many Sunday Masses so no problem attending without being overcrowded though they are well attended. 10:30 Mass required reservations, apparently to control attendance. I don’t believe it would be difficult to get if that was your goal. Cardinal Dolan was scheduled for that Mass on the Sunday we attended.

The architecture is so mind blowing,it’s hard to comprehend how the masons did the things they did with what tools they had ,it’s just amazing a must see

How can you go wrong, sticking your head into the most magnificent church in Midtown?? This beautiful old cathedral is reminiscent of the old European churches. Just glorious.

Even though i am not a religious soul, I do appreciate art and architecture. To see this building in NYC amid all the skyscrapers (and across the street from Rockefeller Center) is quite stunning. Make sure you go inside, you'll feel like you are visiting a cathedral in Europe.

St Patrick's cathedral has appeared in movies and newsreels and does not disappoint when seen in reality.

Had the privilege of taking Mass in this historic Cathedral. Was well worth the wait and line to get in. The architecture is incredible!!! We even had an opportunity to light a candle. Can’t wait to go back!!

Attended one of 7 Sunday masses; this one had lots of music on the huge pipe organ (in the rear of the church) plus a cantor to lead the music. Suggest checking the cathedral's web site to see when different music programs are combined with masses (plus the occasional recital). A great place to hear this sacred music.

Saint Patrick's was constructed in a reasonably short period of time, so the architectural elements are reasonably consistent throughout the church. Surrounding the massive central nave are many small chapels; each dedicated to various saints and with some impressive sculpture & artwork. Before or after attending masses you can walk around the outer corridors to view these.

What an ethereal and beautiful place. The inner and outer beauty of this cathedral is astounding. So glad I go to see it and feel it first hand.
