A lovely little park where there a chess and dominoes to play and outdoor movie screenings each week, lots of places to sit, eat and drink, a lovely park a calm place in the middle of the busy city

Spent our last few hours in New York here.
The sun was out and the park was full. Wonderful to sit in the sun and relax in the big city.
Completely different to the bigger parks in the city. really reflects on city life.

They have nice events and markets throughout the year (and ice skating in the winter) but it does get very crowded and there aren't a ton of good restaurant options in that area if you ask me.

The park is just between Fifth and Sixth Street and the place is teeming with food stalls and other amenities. We waited for our friend here - it was a meet-up and waiting became a great experience with the greens and lights around.

The park is great. Its not only cool in design but cool due to the trees. A walk. A talk. A sidewalk. All perfect. A splendid oasis in midtown.
