“Nice place to relax”
Reviewed 24 April 2014

This small park is a great place to sit and just take a break from the rush rush pace of NYC. Here you will find many NYU students, mothers with baby strollers, tourists just walking around and many street performers. We walked through the park as part of a cupcake tour through Grenache Village. Our tour guide showed us the oldest living tree in Manhattan. It dates back to the 1700's.This is a great place to people watch, play a game of chess or even take a few pictures. There is a beautiful arch in the middle of the park that is worthy of a photograph.

“People Watching!!”
Reviewed 23 April 2014

If you love to people watch, this is the best place for you. The park is surrounded by NYU and the eccentric folks of the Village. During warm weather there are many street performers showing off their many talents. My favorite is the piano player who wheels out a baby grand piano into just south of the fountain.

“Beautiful park”
Reviewed 18 April 2014

This is such a lovely park to sit and watch the people go by. Beautiful fountain, makes you feel cool when the sun is hot.
There is often somebody playing jazz too which is great.
One of my favourite places to sit and relax.

“A nice place to relax”
Reviewed 17 April 2014

We weren't actually in the area but wanted to pop into the park to grab a picture with the arch (which is gorgeous by the way!). If you have the time it would be nice to take a picnic. It is right by the university so lots of young people floating around and like a lot of people have pointed out the park is great for people watching :) As we didn't have anything else to do in the area we were in and out of the park within half an hour but I'm sure you could spend longer here if you were looking for a relaxing afternoon with some friends.
