We recently took a school field trip to Manhattan. After visiting the 9/11 memorial, one person in our party noticed this restaurant and decided he wanted to have a cheesesteak. We split up into three parties, and I went with the guys to Charlys. We entered a fairly small space, but the aroma of fresh food was incredible. While all the other guys ordered cheesesteaks, I noticed their burrito offerings and decided on the steak burrito. We were all served promptly and entered the dining room upstairs. While all the tables were full, a man who worked on building the new World Trade Center invited us to sit with him. Many of the guys were satisfied with their cheesesteaks. I enjoyed the burrito chock full of juicy steak, hearty rice and beans, and delicious pico and sour cream. The corn chips the burrito came with were excellent, and the guys kept trying to take some for themselves. There's nothing fancy about this place, but the prices are very reasonable for NYC.
