We spent hours walking around and shopping in the hustle and bustle of Chinatown, and LIttle Italy provided a very nice change of pace - very laid back, Old World charm, the food smelled great, friendly people. Stopped at a restaurant, was seated at an outside table, and enjoyed a nice appetizer of fresh mozza wrapped in proscuitto and a couple glasses of Italian wines for a reasonable price. Sampled more fresh cheeses at a corner cheese shop and bought some unusual noodles for home. It's a small area but I think that adds to the charm. I read lots of reviews saying it wasn't worth it. I disagree wholeheartedly. If you are nearby, make the effort to stop by for awhile.

My girlfriends and I ate dinner, shopped, sampled Italian desserts, and drank some red wine in the neighborhood. Highly recommended! Fun atmosphere.

We were surprised by how small Little Italy was. It is pretty much dominated by Chinatown all around it, but we found it to have plenty of charm. We stopped at one of the restaurants for coffee. Worth visiting and trying out some of the food, but you have to look for it around Mulberry Street. A hidden gem that's worth a visit.

I was hoping for something as big as Chinatown, but it's actually pretty much 2 or 3 streets. Even though it's very very little Italy, the options for lunch or dinner are simply great and the ice cream is divine!

Had a friend from the Lower East Side showing us round his old neighbourhood for the afternoon so took in Little Italy. And it is only little as Chinatown seems to be engulfing it, but little Italy is still there.

We were so surprised at how close Chinatown and Little Italy are to each other, on one street you are in Chinatown and the next Little Italy, and also so close to the Financial district and World Trade Center area.

Great to spend an afternoon wandering round and plenty of authentic Italian bakery's to call in for a coffee or soda on a hot day.

It was great to hear all about the history of the area and how things are changing from the the old days, but some businesses are still surviving and have been there for years, great to see the old and the new.
