Very popular with visitors but you don’t need to wait long to get a photo, you can see the popular places to sit or climb (which you are allowed to do) as the metal has been polished to a shine, we planned a stroll in the park that passed the sights we wanted to see.

We always enjoy seeing the Alice in Wonderland Statue at Conservatory Water in Central Park. This is a neat collection of figures from the Alice in Wonderland tale, situated upon and around giant mushrooms.

It is always nice seeing children happily play on and around the bronze statues. There is always a crowd around as well. This makes it a challenge to take unobscured pictures but if you are patient, you can sneak one in every once in a while.

One of the things we liked about seeing the Alice in Wonderland recently was the present of spring blooms behind statues. This made for a nice background and some nice pictures this time of the year (first week of May).

Note: This is one of several child friendly statues you will find in this area of Central Park. The Hans Christian Anderson statue is just on the other side of the Conservatory Water and the Group of Bears can be found just south of the MET, just a few minutes walk from here.

Me and my Fiancé stumbled across this while exploring Central Park and I was a lovely little find. The Statue is a great photo opportunity and is located in a nice area of the park. I would definitely recommend visiting it if you get the chance!

Grand Central Park, beautiful open space in the big city. lots of paths to walk and canoe rental by the hour or more, along with several snack shops. Easy to plan a picnic lunch in the middle of your travels if touring NYC, especially if with kids. The museum of Natural History is close to the park. The Statue is enjoyed by all, mostly appreciated by pictures with Alice and the Mad Hatter by the older folks, but kids love it too because they climb all over it. There is a low circular concrete wall around the statue that is good for sitting.
