Description: To impose a delicate charm in the midst of midtown, we started this great restaurant “Touch of India.” Our aim was to design a harmonizing balance of taste & feel of a fine Indian home. Touch of India serves a plethora of cuisines encompassing different regions of India including (South, North, Jain, and Gujarat). Delicacies such Masala dosa from southern India to chat combinations from Bombay are complemented with variety of Indian and American liquors. Our guests enjoy shrimp/chicken briyani, Samosa Chat, Vada Sambar, Nargisi Kofta, Masala Dosa, Kadai Chicken, Mutter Paneer, Butter Nan with a hot cup of masala chai or a cold glass of mango lassi. We cater a wide array of services from buffet, take outs to party hall with festive style and decor. Our convenient location in Midtown near to all transportation is a plus for our guests to have small gatherings, meeting or other occasions.

We went here with a groupon which may have been our downfall. We were never offered a menu, never offered an appetizer, never offered an upsell of any kind. We would have loved to ordered a cocktail. And since we had to wait at least an hour for our food we would have gladly paid extra for an appetizer.
I've had Indian food many other times and I love it. Theirs was bland, cold and lacking texture. Waste of time and money...

f you go with a Groupon you have the Plague! We recently visited NYC and decided to try out different restaurants. We purchased a groupon, made a reservation and made our way to "Touch of India"
We were seated immediately and the waitress told us there were no options on food with a groupon and she would order for us. We were told nothing else. We were not given the option to order anything to drink or appetizers. A horrible 60 minutes later we received a lukewarm orange creamy drink and a glass of water. In the mean time other people were seated and served food. After another 20 minutes we finally received a sampler plate where she explained what everything was. The food was just "OK" nothing special. It was small amounts of different kinds of indian food, probably their left overs they heated in the microwave!
What really ticked me off is the arrogance of the workers/owners. Why offer groupons to get people in your place then treat them so bad that they never come back?
Horrible service and food that was just ok. Not even worth the $25 groupon, plus tax and tip! Better food at McDonalds!

We had absolutely delicious food here. The service was great and the waiters recommendation of a chicken vindaloo was amazing. Not hot but with lots of flavour. There was only one other couple in the restaurant which I presume was because its not in a prime location. Compared to other restaurants the price was really low without compromising quality. I'd highly recommend.

While I would not go out of my way to eat here, if your at the Garden and want Indian food pre or post the game you could do worse. It is not great indian food, but it isn't fast food and a large group can eat, have a decent meal and not break the bank - parking and the Garden will take care of that.
