We stayed at the Trump for 4 nights for my 30th Birthday. It was an incredible experience and has ruined me for any other hotel now.

They upgraded us to a one bedroom suite on the 34th floor which was incredible. The views on the photos do not do it justice, we were overjoyed when we pulled back the curtains. We spent a couple of evenings watching the sunset from our lounge and found it hard to leave the room and go out for the night.

The rooms are so spacious and all the little touches like slippers, robes, bottled water, chocolates and music all made it feel like a real extravagant yet homely experience. Loved the nespresso machine and on the 1 year anniversary of the hotel we were given gourmet boxes of chocolates.

It was so nice to stay at a hotel where it is clear that the guests are their priority and they actually want you to have a fabulous stay when you arrive, and go out of their way to make that happen.

It is a really expensive treat but soooo worth it!

When we arrived on Friday morning we asked the concierge to recommend a place where we could get light breakfast/brunch-type food. She gave us two restaurants and we walked numerous blocks to get there only to discover that neither restaurant served what we were looking for during the week; only on weekends. What's more, the food available was ridiculously expensive and frou-frou -- nothing like what we described to the concierge. We finally wandered into a random little bistro to eat. There were no "Where" or similar traveler's magazines in the room listing NYC entertainment options (really), so Saturday morning I asked a different concierge, Eric, for information on comedy clubs and the headliners playing that evening. He said he'd find out and send the information to our room. We returned at 4pm to discover nothing had been delivered. A third concierge apologized and said the Eric had had a very busy day (but apparently not on our behalf). An hour later, concierge #3 sent up a lame Internet print out of 3 comedy clubs; one of which our friends had already learned was sold out. Our friend's daughter ended up making reservations for us at Caroline's. Should I mention the bathroom sink that didn't drain? Or the hairdryer that wasn't there and took TWO phone calls to arrive (while my hair was wet and we needed to go). Or the Business Center where one of two printers didn't work but there was no "out of order" sign. I'm not sure why this hotel is rated so high. For that kind of money, there are plenty of better options in NYC.

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else.

Dear Penelope056,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I am sorry that your experience was less than perfect. You are right, it was inappropriate to be told that the Concierge was too busy. I tried to track this through our Guest Opportunities Report but was not successful with your TripAdvisor account name. Please contact me offline at 212-842-5500 so that we may discuss.

First, Soho is a great area where to stay when in NYC, much prefered from mid-down, up-town in my opinion.
The Trump Soho is a great, nice hotel. Trendy, chic ... Trump style. So pick this if it is what you're looking for. It is also expensive of course, but worth it. They view from higher floors are amazing.

Stay two nights at the Trump Soho and it was an excellent stay. The hotel is outside Time Square, but only a short cab or train ride to the theater or Ferry.

We had a beautiful view of the Hudson River and the room was very large for a New York City hotel. The room had a beautiful T.V. That controlled the blinds and lights. There was a very comfortable king size bed and large bathroom with a good shower pressure, separate toilet, small T.V. and large tub.

We took the #1 train from 34th Street and got off at the Houston train stop and walked 5 min up Varick St to the hotel. There's overniht parking on Varick Street for $30.

If you're from Boston, Soho is a much larger version of the South End. Lots of nice restaurants, coffee shops, and stores.

Only problem we encounter was at check-in. We arrived early and went to lunch to kill time and were told that he room would be available in 45 minutes. We ended up waiting about two hours and it threw our plans off a little. We booked through Travelocity and because of the wait they upgraded our room.

Will definitely stay at this hotel again.

We spent the weekend at the Trump Soho for a special occasion. The hotel was beautiful and the service was superior to many other hotels that we have visited. We frequent NYC as our vacation spot at least 5 times per year. This trip exceeded our expectations in every area.
Even before we arrived the staff was more than accomodating and was always there for us!!
We are going to be visiting the Trump Soho whenever we go to NYC!!!

We have stayed in several places in the city and since our stay at Trump SoHo, we will NEVER STAY ANYWHERE ELSE!!! This is THE PLACE to stay in the city!!! The hotel is gorgeous and very chic. Everything is top quality, from the linens to the electronics. We had the best view of the city from our room. AMAZING!! Besides the wonderful location and beautiful setting, the main reason to LOVE the Trump SoHo is the service. The staff is incredible. They anticipated our every need and were very attentive. The spa is perhaps the best spa we have ever visited. The food is exceptional...from Quattro to the cocktail lounge. We highly recommend this place to EVERYONE. It our new home away from home. LOVE IT!!!! Thank you Trump SoHo!!!

Room Tip: Ask if upgrades are available.

Stayed at the tower on two occasions in April with my husband and 3 teenagers. On both occasions we were deeply impressed by both the level of service and the quality of the rooms. We are very frequent travelers and at this point in our lives pretty hard to impress but I have to say I intend to make the towers in Soho our regular stop off point when we come through NY as long as these standards are maintained. The rooms feel more like apartments than your standard hotel room. Beds to die for, robes of the highest quality, lighting systems (although complicated) that give a great ambience. Service, from check in to concierge was fast efficient and friendly. Our only quibble was the prices for room service and mini bar items. If you are traveling with hungry teenagers don't eat in the room!
