I travel to NYC every 3-4 weeks on business, and have tried many of the 4/5 star hotels in Soho and TriBeCa. The Trump Soho comes top for me: the location is great, the rooms are very generously sized for NY standards, and the fittings are of the highest standard. It's also well designed and stylish without being pretentious. Pick a room on the upper floors, and you're rewarded with breathtaking views over lower Manhattan and the Freedom tower. The only downside to the Trump is that the Koi restaurant is a little underwhelming gastronomically, and the Trump lacks a buzzy bar / vibe in the lobby. However if you need a luxurious home from home, and you're happy to find the buzzy vibe outside your doorstep rather than inside the hotel, the Trump Soho is the place to go.

There is no doubt the location of the hotel is great, close to two subway lines as well as the financial district. The room size is good if you do not go for the standard room and get the two room suite......................., but make sure you are on a floor above 20. If you are not you can hear the subway if you are on the wrong side of the building . I moved rooms from 15 to 17 then to 24, I was staying there for two weeks and it was my second time at the property. The staff were good about it when I got to talk to a manager and got past the front desk staff attitude of " sorry sir but that is the only room type in your category ".

The door staff are great and 'Chris' is worth a mention, he said hi every morning , remembering my name , when I returned from my run along the Hudson and had a bottle of water at the ready. In fact the door staff were better than my supposed personal concierge , who introduced herself at check in then was not seen for two weeks .

The F&B is average and over priced but that is not too much of a problem as you are in Soho and there are many options, check out Bubby's for breakfast , not on a Sunday as it is way too busy, they have some of the best coffee in NY, not that usual dishwater that gets served ( sorry to all the Starbucks lovers)

Room Tip: Above 20th floor

First time to New York and glad to stay at Trump Soho. Everyone works there are very friendly and make your stay is a pleasure! Luxury amenity for the entire room. Stay at 27th floor with gorgeous views of Hudson River and Downtown of New York. Definitely would like to visit it again!

I have stayed at the Trump SoHo twice in the last three months. The hotel is clean and new. It is also conveniently located on the edge of SoHo, nearby a subway stop. The service is so-so. Some people are great while others have that "South Beach I don't really care about you" attitude. The spa is quite mediocre.
