Just returned from NYC and a 3 night stay at the Trump Soho (June 10 - 13). Stayed on the newly opened 37th floor in a deluxe one BDRM #3701. The views over the city at that height are stunning and there are 2 over sized windows (one behind the amazingly comfortable soaking tub) to take it all in.
The room was luxuriously appointed with extras like a beautiful cashmere feeling throw on the couch and extra nice bar/glass ware, only to name a few. Large flat screen TV. Great amount of space for NYC - especially this area.
The rooms are extremely high tech which I loved and all was carefully explained on checking into the room.
The bathroom is fabulous! Large separate shower with a rain head. Double sinks with fabulous lighting and plenty of counter/storage space and a smaller flat screened TV between them.
All the staff I encountered were quite friendly and helpful.
The lobby area and public spaces are modernly beautiful with artful flower arrangements everywhere.
Had Sunday brunch at the hotel's newly opened Quattro restaurant. Excellent!
Requested and was given a late check out time of 2 p m on Sunday. Very helpful as my flight out was not until 5.
Now for the cons:
The floor was newly opened and there was a problem with my toilet not flushing. I reported this the 2nd morning and someone came right up to fix it. However, same thing the 3rd day and I had to change rooms which was a hassle. I was moved to the same type room on the 32nd floor #3201 and had no further problems with plumbing.
On Friday after being gone since 9 a m, I returned to my room at 3:30 and still had not received room service. Called and a house keeper came within15 minutes, but still inconvenient. She was most apologetic and assured me it would not happen again, which it did not.
I know management will get all the kinks worked out and I will definitely stay here again!
At check out, a manager made a point of talking to me about the problems during my stay and offering an upgrade to a suite on my next stay. She took my info, so hopefully that will be forthcoming
