I'm a Kimpton loyalist, but had never stayed at Eventi until a friend turned me on to it. It's in a great location and has very reasonable rates. The staff here is also friendly and knowledgeable. Check it out!

Just returned from a 5 night stay at the Eventi in NYC. We've stayed at Kimpton hotels before but never in a NYC. We chose the Eventi because we heard that Chelsea was a great neighborhood. And it is.
We wanted to visit the Highline, galleries and ambitious restaurants. We ate at Del Posto, Toro, Eleven Madison Park and Colicchio and Sons which are all walkable from the hotel. And anyone interested in food, and cooking for that matter, should visit Eataly. Lots of fun. All reservations were arraigned by the concierges at Eventi. Do yourself a favor and utilize these talented people. And speaking of the staff, they are without question the best trained hospitality professionals we've ever come across. Kudos to Kimpton for what is obviously an incredibly effective training program.
Our room had great views of the Empire State Building which was magical, especially at night. (It actually changed colors at least 3 times during our stay.) And the rooms at Kimpton properties are always interesting and not cookie cutter.
All in all, the Eventi is a wonderful hotel in a great location.

Wife and I stayed here for a romantic weekend getaway. The staff here were always helpful and pleasant. The room was clean and cozy and the beds ultra comfortable. Excellent location close to Empire State Building and midtown.
We decided to eat at the on site restaurant. Service started off a little slow but the meal was excellent although a little pricey.

We are still here but I couldn't wait to write this review. The Eventi has been first class in every way. From the staff at check-in to the housekeeping staff to the doorman who helps us get a cab. Everybody is always smiling and looking for ways to help.

We are here celebrating our 25th anniversary and because of that we were upgraded to a corner room with an amazing view of the Empire State Building from the main window and a cool view down 6th Ave from a smaller side window. The bed is the most comfortable hotel bed I've slept in and the room is large by NY standards, but the bathroom is huge with a shower that leaves room to turn around without bumping into the walls.
It is clear the Kimpton brand focuses on their organizational culture and the staff at the Eventi get it.
If you are in New York, stay here.

After staying at this hotel, I realized we experienced something we hadn't in a long time. This hotel makes you feel very welcome, cared for and respected. We were treated like human beings. There are so many aspects of life, during this economic climate, where a business is more apt to take your money, give you attitude or no empathy, and leave you feeling very cheated and broke. These days , we get more bills in the mail for terrible, shoddy services. ( I am looking at you Time Warner, Bank of America, etc etc too many too list...) This is the first time in years we felt like we received some quality in our lives for reasonable fees. You will get so much more for your money staying at a Klimpton than any other competitor I promise you. My husband and I travel a lot and have stayed at every kind of hotel you can imagine and the staff at Eventi was at the same level of service and attentiveness as a 700$ a night hotel. Our room was lovely, the wine hour was lovely, every single staff member was kind, friendly and welcoming. We loved this hotel. They made us instantly loyal to Klimpton Hotels and we will suggest this hotel to all of our friends and family. Thank you very much for everything, I wish it could be this warm, welcoming and fairly priced in other aspects of life these days. People work way too hard right now, its very nice to know there is a place where they will be treated with respect, and their money and time will be respected as well.

We stayed here as part of a wedding party we were part of. At check-in, I was able to upgrade to a suite (separate bedroom divided by a sliding door) for a small cost, but totally worth it for our needs. There was a pull-out bed in the living space, which although we just needed the linens, the staff insisted they make the bed for us...so nice.

The bedroom had a comfortable king bed with ample table space around the room. We had views of the Empire State Bldg, which was nice, especially at night. The bathroom had double sinks, with a tub with a separate shower stall. The toilet was through a separate door within the bathroom (I like that). Very clean throughout.

The staff were wonderful, and very accommodating. Would definitely stay there again.

Usually I write longer reviews with detailed critiques, but everything was so nice that there's nothing else to say!

Just spent the weekend in NYC and was my first time staying at the Eventi. It took me under 1 minute to check in and probably 5 mins to park my car in the garage underneath the hotel. Elevator takes you right up to street level adjacent to hotel entrance. Easy. Elevators were quick an not over-crowded , another plus when you are trying to get back and forth to your room. Room itself was great...good size for NYC, modern and clean. Cute little bamboo stool in the shower too. The neighborhood is listed as "Chelsea", but you really are on the outskirts. Great location to either get uptown or downtown quickly. Near Penn station as well, but not so close as to be overrun with MSG traffic. This is my second stay at a Kimpton hotel, and I will look to this brand for my next trip...hip, but not in an annoying way, efficient, but not in an impersonal way. Great stay!
