Description: Jim Lahey opened the doors to Co., his first pizza restaurant, in 2009. Located in Chelsea, Lahey put his own spin on pizza while celebrating artisanal food culture and communal dining. The name is short for Company, a word whose Latin roots refer to the phrase “with bread.”With bread as the centerpiece of the meal, Co. features a variety of toasts, soup, salads, artisanal meats and cheeses, and, of course, pizza.

Came here to eat on a Tuesday eve at 7 and the place was full apart from the 12 seat communal table which we had to ourselves for 45 mins.

We ordered the charcuterie and cheese platter to share which was simple but tasty, a salad and two pizzas. The platter and salad came quickly then a pizza a few minutes later which they took back to the kitchen with no fuss and made fresh ones when we were ready.

The pizza base is good here full of flavour but the toppings are more deep pan in quantity which sogs things a bit. Very tasty and interesting toppings of shaved Brussels sprouts and ham and meatball etc.

Some good beer is served at decent prices too. All in all a very decent place for a quick meal or leisurely graze.

Thank Andrew B

The best thing about Co. is the blistery, charred pizza crust, cooked to perfection. On the negative side, the toppings are heavy handed, with the ham and cheese pizza being a plain cheese pizza with large, thick, slightly slimy slices of ham draped over the entire pizza; the prices are high, and the kitchen annoyingly sends out orders at different times, so one person often has to watch the others eat while waiting for their pizza. The space is attractive and spartan, about half of which is a communal table, which is often the only choice if you don't want to wait. A nice selection of beers on tap. Service is quick, friendly and young. Not worth a detour.

We were four, having beautiful, different pies, perfectly crusty and airy, red and white, amazing rustic toppings. Perfectly and creative interpreted best italian pizzas.
We've been to many Italian Pizzerias eating really a lot of different pizzas there and everywhere, but those we've eaten at Co. were totaly different and made in the best manner of the Neapolitan origins.

The best pizza I've ever had !

This pizzeria near Chelsea has great thin crust pizzas. The pizza base is crisp and full of flavor, and they have a pretty good selection of eclectic toppings. The pizzas are light and easy on the stomach, not greasy and loaded with cheese. Veggie lovers will be happy here since they have a good selection of veggie toppings.

Seating is on large communal tables, and service is good. Overall a nice place to have pizza with family, friends, or colleagues.

We had a pizza and salad. Salad was tiny. Pizza was good- nothing special, not great. Service was mediocre. The person at the door was super friendly but the wait staff not that friendly. Nice decor. Wouldn't good back as there are tons of better pizza places in nyc.
