The room is without a doubt the smallest room I have ever stayed in but in all honesty, this is NY and your not going to spend your time in the hotel. The room is clean and comfortable with everything you might need.

The lift can be a bit of a challenge as this is also extremely cramped and can fit about 4 people at a time. There are two lifts but every time I needed a lift the second lift was in use by housekeeping or staff leaving only one available for guests.

The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. After 24 hours of traveling I was very relieved that I was able to check in early.

Do not be misled by the "complementary breakfast included". This a grab and go setup and should not be marketed as breakfast.

Had a one night stay at The MAve earlier this month. Rooms are as depicted. Location and rates are awesome. Reception staff was very friendly and accommodating when my colleague in another room took ill and allowed us both to check out late so that he could have more bed rest.

Based on prior reviews I booked the MAVe for 3 nights over the last weekend in NYC. For the rate I payed it was just as described, clean & modern. The room some might say was on the small side but for NY it's standard. Location was ideal, close to all off the usual sights, subway just up the road. Would look at booking again next time in NYC.
