“Great location, great Hotel, great value”

Third trip to NY cite, best hotel so far, cant beat the price for the quality of this hotel. ask for the reduce parking rate for the private parking in from of the hotel. Walking disyance to subway, time square and the best restaurants.
It was quiet. but we did get a room in the back of the house.
Room was cozy but small, but it's NY it's typical for this price range.

We stayed at the Comfort Inn from 12th - 19th Feb, 2010. Six people. Three couples. Three queen bed rooms. Overall we were quite impressed with the hotel, particularly the location - awesome - walking distance (less than five minutes) to: Macy's, Empire State Building, major broadway theatre, Port Authority Subway station, Times Square and all shops around there. Between 8th and 9th avenue at 44th street.

Room is very clean. Staff are very helpful. Room service fast and quiet. Front desk officers also managers and maintenance guys are great! Don't stay at lobby rooms or basement rooms. Ask to upper floor (up than 3rd floor) and on the front facade. Nice view. Good and brand new air/heat individually system each room.

Don't forget to book 03-06 months earlier to have a good offer. We felt very safe and secure in the area. Nice restaurants and bistros on the same block. Bathroom is enough for a couple (bath tub, metals, sink, mirror all brand new) or on a business trip. Then don't have parking. Just a discount for 24h in the front parking site - (US$30.00).

Breakfast are just good enough to eat three to four times. Banana, apples, waffle, orance and apple juice, croissants, mixed eggs, bacon, hot chocolat, regular coffee and decaf ones are also available.

Definitely we will be there again!

I spent alot of time looking for a great location and great price to accomondate our overnight stay for a broadway show. The Comfort Inn went beyond my expectations. We had a great continental breakfast with New York Bagels, cereal, fruit and danishes and later found out we received a discount for parking our car across the street at Icon Parking garage. Plus they are AAA approved and that's another discount. Our room was clean, the bathroom was clean and yes it was small but who needs alll that wasted space anyway. The hotel is right next to a catholic church and 47 steps to Times Square. Yes I counted the steps. The staff was great!

I chose this place because it was near the bus station and only $99 for the night. The staff/owners were all wonderful. They let us check in early and gave us warm chocolate chip cookies upon arrival- a pleasant surprise, especially because we were freezing from our walk over from the bus station ( it wasn't far, but it was a cold day). They also helped us with directions, I can't tell you how many times hotel staff has no clue which makes me wonder how they get to work- these people know the area. The continental breakfast was a lot more than a muffin, there was eggs, bacon, waffles, bagels, toast and a yummy assortment of fruit, pastry and cereal. The room was small, but exactly what we needed- a clean bathroom, queen bed and flat screen tv ( even had HBO). My hubby and I will definitely go there again and again......

My husband, mother in law and I stayed here for a weekend trip to NYC. We knew we would not be spending much time in a hotel room so we looked for a great rate in a great location; we got both at this Comfort Inn. The staff were extremely accommodating and gave us 2 rooms on an upper floor as we had requested rooms away from street nosie. Our rooms were very, very quiet - we heard vitually nothing from inside or outside the hotel. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms (albeit quite small) were very, very clean. This place looks new or recently rehabbed so everything is spotless. The free continental breakfast is (almost) everything one could want - eggs, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit and a variety of baked goods and pretty darn good coffee 24 hours. The hotel was very well located for our needs and we were able to walk everywhere. We will definitely stay here again.

Clean and convenient. If that's what you're looking for this property fits the bill completely. Rooms are small but not out of line for this part of town. If you want bigger look at Westin or Times Square Hilton, both nearby. Rooms are very comparable to Comfort Inn on 39th, although more rooms per floor. Similar to Hampton Inn and Four Points, both within 4 blocks from here. You will notice on website that there are not many pictures. Really not much to take pictures of. Internet present and free, but slow.

Block has parking lot, parking garage, building under construction, Birdland jazz club, Dykes lumber supply and an Italian restaurant. Not much to look at, but convenient. 9th Ave a plethora of food choices. Totally improved recently, that's the direction you should go to get fed. Still, while a little deserted it doesn't have the grungy feel of a few blocks south. Lobby more sterile feeling than anything. Standard Comfort Inn breakfast except no bananas. Good coffee all day long. Asked questions of the folks at the desk a few times. They were not the most informed--probably not native Manhattanites--but always gave a good effort. Busy street during the night.

If convenient, competent and sterile is what you seek, this fits the bill. The only real drawback is that there are so many interesting properties in NYC that this seems boring by comparison. Westin and Hilton are much nicer, and just as convenient, although usually more expensive. Dream hotel has similar small rooms, but funky vibe. Lots of choices just east of Times Square.

If the price is right it offers basic conveniences in a stellar location. Broadway theaters nearby, food galore, really no downside to worry about. Also, the folks that wrote that Macy's was 2 minutes away were staying at a different Comfort Inn at 35th and Broadway. Here you are about a mile. If expectations are managed they should be easily met. Enjoy your visit.

My wife and I spent three nights here prior to our trip to the Holy Land. We found the hotel to be an excellent choice. As some have noted previously, the rooms are small (this is, after all, Times Square area in Manhattan), and the elevator is slow to be sure. Other than that, everything we experienced was superior. The location - 2 blocks from Times Square and many Broadway shows - makes New York sights very accessible. The subway is less than 2 blocks away. We chose not to use tour buses (we wanted to see how New Yorkers get around), and we refused to pay exhorbitant rates for taxis. We found buses and subways to be fast and efficient. The hotel was almost new and it showed. The bath was immaculate and the housekeeping staff kept the place tidy and neat. The bed was comfortable, even though the room was small. The amenities described in the promotional literature was spot on. The TV was great, and the WiFi was great (albeit, a little bit slow when compared to high speed internet). The continental breakfast was great - not just a roll and coffee. We had eggs, bacon, cereal, waffles, etc - quite a choice. The staff was wonderful. Sam, the manager, was a great host, and his staff made our stay very pleasurable. I told Sam that when we come back to Manhattan I won't consider staying anywhere else. Is it that good. You bet !! And I'm telling all our friends and relatives where to stay in Manhattan, also.
