This is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed. Free in-room drinks and snacks (non alcoholic drinks), gorgeous rooms with a great shower and cozy environment, very good location (a few blocks from Trinity church, Statue of Liberty, etc), 2 blocks away from the subway station. The service here is incredible, registration was painless and welcomed by their very helpful hosts. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

The Andaz Wall Street was a great hotel. The Hyatt Hotels have me spoiled! Their customer service cannot be beat! My son and I who has never been to NYC went there last month before he took off for college. We had a great time and the hotel was really easy to get to and I could even squeeze in a view of the Harbor. We only got to enjoy the social hour once but they kept pouring the wine! The cookies were wonderful and the coffee was out of this world. My husband and I are planning a trip there next year and the Andaz is top of our list.

Room Tip: Corner rooms may have a view of the harbor and have a window seat.

We stayed here for six nights, having chose the Andaz for its relatively quiet location.

As this is a converted office building, rooms were large with high ceilings and generous glazing onto Wall Street. They are also well furnished and very style conscious. Bathrooms comprise a shower and bath area to one side of the entrance area, with WC cubicle and open basin area on the opposite side. There is a rotating cupboard/ kettle/ full height mirror unit, and another long dressing table/ desk/ fridge/ TV unit facing the bed. Doors into the various areas are glass, and there is a clear glass screen between the bath and bedroom area. While supposedly bringing light into the sanitary areas, the black tiles and “mood” lighting in these areas make for a lot of darkness. In addition, slippery dark floors and clear glass might be a problem for older people or those with below-average eyesight. As privacy is also limited, we would also suggest that sharing is only for those who know each intimately.

Service and staff in the hotel was impeccable, although waiters at one of our breakfasts were slow and inattentive for some reason.

Food at the restaurant was excellent, especially the Sunday brunch which has an extensive selection of fresh food. We found the room service food a little underwhelming in terms of variety, quality and value.

My wife used the spa massage service, which was professional, friendly and very good value.

All in all an excellent choice for value and service. The stylish but impractical interior design of rooms could be a problem for some though.

Hands down, best hotel I have stayed in for the price. Although its in Wall Street, it was easily accessible and the rooms were modern and gorgeous.

This was the first stop we had for our 25th Wedding Anniversary trip of a life time and we could not have started in a better place - first off we were met by one of the hosts, we talked to most of them by the time we left and they were all without exception very helpful - first off they wished us a happy 25th anniversary and upgraded our room - the room was a very high standard even if I made an effort I could not fault the room - as I am not a drinker having the free mini bar ( every thing was free but the booze ) was great to be able to twist open a nice cold water at the end of a day or juice in the morning brilliant.

The fact that its a short cab or tube ride away from the hustle and bustle of the City is a very good thing - if you asked me if I would ever stay there again its 100% yes.

Why a Wall Street Banker because you can always bank on getting the best service a great bed and the finest shower in New York City at the Andaz Wall Street.

The Andaz Wall Street was warm and welcoming from the moment we came through the revolving door. In fact, there's usually a hotel staffer there to turn the door for you, which is especially helpful when you are maneuvering luggage. There isn't a front desk per se; there is a counter in the middle of the lobby, but staff may be found on either side of it, or roaming around.

We arrived earlier than expected, but checking in early was no problem. We were checked in while sitting on a sofa off to one side of the lobby by a staff person with a small netbook computer. (I asked about iPads; the staffer said they are getting them soon.) Then we got a brief introduction to some of the amenities Andaz offers at each of its hotels.

There are free newspapers, and a little "pantry" area at one end of the lobby with some complimentary snacks (cookies, apples, candied walnuts), sparkling water, orange juice, and a barista station. Yes, there is a person there whose job is to make coffee for you. So instead of a gunky in-room Mr. Coffee or a vat of industrial-solvent coffee that's been sitting for who knows how long, you get a freshly made cup of coffee, espresso, tea—whatever you feel like. There's also free wifi throughout the hotel, which is how it should be everywhere.

The clerk went to the desk to make our keys, then escorted us up to the room and showed us around, because there was more good stuff to come. The in-room snacks and drinks are free, except for alcohol. So you can relax and drink a bottle of water, eat a chocolate bar, nibble on some Terra chips, and not worry about being gouged for it. There were also a couple of cool tech bits: there's a control panel next to the bed for the lighting, with settings that adjust the various lights in the room accordingly: work, relax, night light, etc. There are also buttons to lower or raise the window covers, which is really cool and fun to watch.

And the room? A standard room is about 350* square feet (I got this figure from the hotel's web site), larger than some hotels' upgrade rooms. The added space is welcome. There was a nice comfy chair between the bed and the window, with a reading lamp next to it. The bed was extremely comfortable. There were cushions on the windowsill so you could sit and look out, although there isn't that much to see except other buildings. The bathroom was huge by hotel standards, with a four-by-six-foot (yeah, I measured it) walk-in shower with one of those rainfall heads.

I love staying downtown; on weekends it's a nice respite from the crowds of, say, Soho or Midtown. The location is close to South Street Seaport, and there's a new waterfront park along the East River in the same general area. A few short blocks to the south is Battery Park. The subway lines are to the west relative to the hotel, but the closest one is only two or three minutes away, and you can walk over to the others in less than ten minutes. Wall St. is only a few blocks long.)

Andaz is meant to compete with hotels like W. Several years ago we stayed at the W on Lexington Avenue, and found the room small and mediocre, plus there was a definite cooler-than-you vibe among both guests and staff. Andaz was the opposite of that in every way. Of all the places we've stayed in New York, this was definitely our favorite, and we look forward to returning.

Room Tip: 17 is the top floor for rooms in the hotel (above that is office space), but the building is surroun...

We have nothing but positives to say about our stay at Andaz Wall Street! We were warmly greeted when we walked into the hotel and impressed by the modern style of their lobby with lots of comfortable seating areas that encourages guests to hang out and mingle. Free drinks, snacks etc ...
The room was really comfortable.
The hotel is a bit far from the heart of New York City. However, we liked to be a bit away from the crowds
We strongly recomend this hotel.
