Why not 5 stars? Because the service is slightly below what you would find in a Ritz or a Mandarin Oriental. I had to carry my own bags, there's no valet pArking, and my breakfast order was stone-cold, as if they had put it together last night and forgotten to warm it. On the other hand, the room ( I was upgraded to a suite) was big and comfortable, the rest of the room service good was great, the people were friendly, and the location was excellent for business or pleasure. If you can pay $250 for a room or $350 for a suite, you've got a great deal, but at high season you might want more service for your money. Oh, and the "free mini bar" offers very, very little.

we recently stayed at the andaz wall street. the location is perfect for strolling to stone street, the 911 memorial, subway, and battery park with access to statue of liberty and buses. the room service and food are exceptional, and reasonably priced. staff goes out of their way to make sure you are comfortable, and answer all questions in a professional yet friendly manner. the free mini bar (except alcohol) was a nice surprise, as were the spacious bathrooms and comfy beds. we did not have the opportunity to use any spa services, but they looked very attractive, and fairly priced. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this wall street retreat, and would not hesitate to come back!

Room Tip: the corner rooms with two beds are spacious enough for a small family and have great views

We stayed three nights at Andaz Wall St. on our honeymoon. Overall we were extremely satisfied with the service, location, room service, cleanliness and food quality in this hotel. The minute we arrived at the hotel, it was clear that the staff would do almost anything to satisfy our needs. The only minor negative things were the traffic noise (we were in a suite on the 9th floor) which woke me up every day at around 7am, and the occasional bang of the next room's door closing, which was rather loud. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay very much.

Room Tip: The traffic noise was a bit loud on the 9th floor, maybe it's quieter on upper floors?

The room is huge compared to other hotels in New York, the bathroom had a large shower and the bed was very big and comfortable. We enjoyed the free mini bar which included all water, juices and soft drinks along with crisps and chocolate. We found the location fine, it's very handy for seeing Brooklyn bridge, statue of liberty and 9/11 memorial. It is a bit quiet over the weekend and a lot of restaurants are closed. We used the subway a lot which was pretty easy to figure out and could be in midtown within 15 minutes so not too bad. All staff in the hotel were very helpful and friendly, we had no towels in our bathroom on arrival but this was quickly resolved after a call. The rooms were also incredible clean and very modern.

Can't say enough good things about the service at this hotel, from the front desk at check-in to the engineer who helped with the safe after we screwed up the code to the room service waiter to the desk clerk who ordered a recalcitrant taxi driver to take us to the Cruise Ship Terminal in Brooklyn after the driver had initially balked. Our room was large, beautifully designed and comfortable -- especially enjoyed the large tub and rain-type shower in the large black marble bath area. Everything about this place was thoughtful. Also, there's a lot more going on in the neighborhood than I ever imagined -- and I lived in NYC 30+ years. Well done, Andaz!

My husband and I stayed at the Andaz Wall Street in December. Check in was smooth, hassle free and on hearing that it was our honeymoon we were upgraded to a Deluxe room. The room we received was on the 17th floor, with amazing views from the huge windows. The room is really modern and so spacious for a city hotel and the bed was probably one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The bathroom with huge walk in shower and deep bathtub felt so luxurious and not at all what I was expecting from a hotel in the financial district. The room had so many surprising gadgets, from the TV that became a dressing table and mirror to the spinning column in the room that houses the wardrobe, mirror and mini bar and the single touch lights that allow you turn all lights on and off at once. The ipod docking stations and bathrobes and slippers were another nice touch that made you feel you were in a really top end hotel. We chose this hotel mainly due to it being cheaper than mid town hotels. We were slightly worried about the location but we soon found out it was easy to access anywhere in Manhattan and it was so nice to be away from the craziness of the midtown area. At the end of the day we couldn't wait to escape back downtown! All staff on the concierge desk were so helpful and made reservations for us every day at a number of places. My only regret is that we didn't stay long enough to try the spa or the restaurant. Thank you Andaz, for a truly wonderful stay!

Had an uneven experience at this hotel. I'm a big fan of the Andaz brand, but this isn't one of its better examples. The location is great if you're doing something on Wall Street, but if you're just looking for a hotel in New York, it's not a great spot. Everything was closed over the weekend, which included the hotel restaurant, which shut down after brunch. There's a Duane Reade nearby, which helps, but the walking area sorely lacks for restaurants over the weekend.

Room itself was comfortable, but wi-fi wasn't great and service was erratic. Usually took two requests a half hour apart to get something taken care of, and requests for items in the complimentary minibar went unanswered until the third try, at which they worked out fine. Check-in/check-out is done in an atypical way by design, which works great at large hotels, but this tiny checkin/out area just made things a mess. Would probably not stay here again.

Dear latrell1,

Greetings from New York City and thank you for sharing your experience following your recent stay with us. Please accept our sincere apologies for the issues you experienced with your internet connection.

Our goal is to correct this issue based upon your feedback. Again, our sincere apologies for the inconvenience you experienced. We regret to hear that the service level was not up to standard.
Would you be able to provide me with your guestroom number so that we can have our IT team audit the signal in that area?

As to your comments regarding the hotel location and nightlife, the downtown financial district is still growing and there are some hidden gems close to the hotel. We regret we did not have the opportunity to provide you with these options. We hope we have the pleasure of welcoming you back so we can share some of our favorite recommendations with you.

Sincerely,
Adrienne
