“Superior Hotel”

I have been traveling for a long time and stayed at more hotels than I can count. Everything about this hotel (the accommodations, service, etc.) exceeded my prior experiences at almost every prior hotel. If I travel to New York again, I hope to stay here no matter where in New York my business takes me. There is no comparison.

Having been disappointed more often than not by Manhattan hotels normally staying in midtown, I didn't know what to expect from the Andaz. Having spent 5 nights there I would highly recommend it. The large rooms are very nicely decorated in a modern light Scandinavian style, with lots of light, wood floors and a large comfortable bed. The free minibar is a very nice touch and is restocked regularly. I didn't eat in the hotel, but used the gym a few times. It had state of the art equipment and a fridge with chilled water bottles. Staff were friendly in the limited interactions I had with them.

I've stayed at half a dozen hotels in lower manhattan when traveling on business - the Andaz is by far the best and my number one choice going forward. The rooms are incredibly large (and ultra modern) and the tall ceilings make the Andaz tower above the other small, cramped, and older hotels in the same neighborhood. There really is no better choice when near Wall Street.

Amazing hotel and staff. Very friendly and kind. Always willing to help and take care of any issues that arise. Regardless of the location (downtown in financial district) it was easy to get to where we wanted to via cab and subway. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone considering staying in NYC

We really enjoyed our stay at the Andaz Wall Street. Check in was very quick and easy. They offered us a suite for an additional price but we declined. Kids didn't want to sleep on a pullout sofa and rollaway bed. It ended up being a good choice because my husband and I saw the suite. Though the room was very spacious, the bathroom does not have main door. It has a glass door on the shower room and a glass door where the toilet is located. The maid told us the hotel engineers will install paper on the glass doors for added privacy. I think with our teenage kids this would have been slightly awkward for everyone. Our room was very nice. Bedding good quality. Free soda, water, and snacks was a nice addition. Coffee available in the lobby was a plus in the morning. We also took advantage of the available glass of wine in the evening. It is located across the street from a 24 hour drug store which was convenient for drink runs at the end of a long day. Near many restaurants. Easy access to the subway. Within walking distance to Battery Park and 9/11 Memorial. Loved how quiet the area was in the evenings. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We were greeted on arrival with "we have upgraded you to the Presidential Suite, but you will have to wait until 5 for the room to be ready" - no problem! The room was enormous with a kitchen area on entrance with a fridge, dishwasher and Nespresso machine, then a dining area with table & chairs for eight then a huge sofa and comfy chair area in the corner then round to a TV area with another enormous sofa then finally into the bedroom with a huge bed, TV, two wardrobes. There was a large bathroom off the bedroom with a wet room and a huge bath plus a separate area with two sinks and storage space, plus a WC cubicle, with another WC off the lounge area. There were blackout blinds for all six windows on a button by the bed, and plenty of charging points. The views were of other buildings and the river. However, WiFi was not very fast and not always available.
The hotel hosts a free wine hour between 6 and 7pm and has a 24 hour tea & coffee station in the lobby. Service was good throughout.
We ate in the bar, which was very quiet on a Sunday night: the pork sliders and fries were very good and the cottage pie was delicious. With drinks/tip $65.

We had a fantastic stay at The Andaz, Wall Street. The staff were extremely helpful, especially Michael in reception, never appearing to lose patience with my endless questions! We liked the fact that the hotel was downtown - it was nice to get away from the chaos and noise of the centre of the city and the subway was very close and a short ride to the main attractions. The free tea, coffee, cookies etc in the lobby were a lovely treat and meant we often popped back to the hotel for a rest! The room was really attractive and had everything we needed - plus complimentary slippers! Our only complaint would be that the breakfast, while nice, was incredibly expensive. Luckily there were plenty of places near the hotel where we could eat for a more sensible price. Other than that, we loved the hotel and would definitely stay there again.
