My first time at the Andaz was amazing.. the restaurant was great everyone was friendly. My host Jay helped me out a lot. I was very satisfied with this stay and would recommend it. Although the financial district is not a prime location for tourists I like it better to be away from the noise.

At first glance this hotel shows well, but I found a number of reasons that I wouldn't stay here again.
1) Loud street noise from the Water street side at all hours - if you stay here ask to face Pearl St.
2) Floors in the rooms are ICE cold. They look beautiful, but not practical.
3) Shower door doesn't seal properly, creates a flood in the bathroom (and yes I'm used to framless glass shower doors). And my showerhead was already spraying water in every direction - hasn't been cleaned or replaced since new.
4) Beds are ROCK hard. Only stay here if you like a very firm mattress.
5) Service is mediocre in my opinion. No help with bags and fairly slow.

There are some pluses. The TV was excellent, the bathroom's look was excellent, free minibar was a major plus. But I cannot understand why anyone would want to stay in this location - it's really just about the worst in Manhattan in my opinion.

My wife and I went to NYC for my birthday...generally we like to try different places so we did some tripadvisor research prior to our trip. While there are obviously many great hotels in the City, there aren't many great values - except the Andaz Wall Street. While many hotels were inflating their rates for the Holiday rush, Andaz was very reasonably priced. Having been there before, we knew what to expect: a sophisticated contemporary feel, lots of nice amenities, and an enthusiastic, attentive staff. You can't go wrong with the Andaz!

We had never stayed in the FiDi before but now have a reason to, our daughter now lives there. We loved the Andaz and would definitely stay there again. The rooms were large and the bathroom was very cool (but dark, they need to work on the bathroom lighting). The free in room non-alcoholic mini bar, wine reception and breakfast were a really great plus. We got a great rate using AAA. Don't forget your Hyatt points. We also got a late check out at 2:00. Hi-tech and great service. The restaurant was a disappointment, but I highly recommend BLT Bar and Grill just a few blocks away!

Had a overall great stay at the Andaz Wall Street. My husband and I absolutely loved this place. As soon as we checked in we had a great "host" , Amy, who was a absolute doll and explained everything to us from the get go. FREE coffee in the morning, FREE wine at night, FREE snacks and sodas, FREE wifi... get the picture FREE FREE FREE. Yea i know these are little things but believe it or not little things do go a long way.

Went to our room and it was fantastic. Very large, clean, and huge! Bathtub was great! TV fantastic and bed was very comfortable. Great lighting system as one button typically controls all.

Went to the resturant and had a great time with our waiter Charles.... from food to service to decor and ambiance it was a overal gem.

We needed to get to midtown and wanted directions for central park and our operator Stephanie was wonderful and helpful from beginning to end of our convo.

Only problem that we did have was working the thermostat but a quick call to our operator sent two engineers, Mike and Tim, to our room within minutes who helped us cool our room immediately and they came back to follow up on if everything was ok.

Bar was very different than typical nyc bars but very nice quiet and wonderful service by Sean.

Check out was a breeze and they even gave us a late check out and agreed to hold our bags for us as we did have a late flight back to Chicago.

Overall the one thing that i really liked and that my husband agrees with is the staff. Its been two months since i been there but i do remember everybody's name that we interacted with and they gave us the absolute best service ever as if we were millionaires.

This is a wonderful and innovative hotel. The arrival is concierge style. Guests have a seat while the very friendly representatives check them in. We were helped by Sako. She was mindful of our anniversary, friendly and efficient. For New York, the rooms are enormous. There is a walk-in shower with waterfall head (practically a room of its own) with a separate bathtub enclosed in the tile area. The sink area and separated toilet are across the foyer. The room itself features a small refrigerator with free nonalcoholic drinks and a few snacks.

The design of the room is different than anything else I have experienced. Next to the sink, there is a large piece of furniture that works as a closet, full-length mirror and cabinets. Turns out the piece of furniture spins around. Wonderful feature. The flat screen is on a long desk/table that is separated from the wall. There is seating on both sides. The windows also have seating and a comfy chair is in the corner.

The bed is on the firmer side with a nice duvet. We admittedly got a kick out of the lighting/shade panel. Lighting around the room can be shut off completely, set to a relax mode or turned up full in addition to other settings. The blackout shades are also controlled on that panel.

There is a wine hour from 6p-8p with snacks. Muffins are served in the morning and coffee is complimentary throughout the day. Wonderful touches!

It is only fair to mention the negatives. The modern faucet continues to drip after being turned off which can be an annoyance.

On a more imporant note, the staff is super friendly, but lacking in local knowledge. Coming out of the Holland Tunnel, we asked for directions and the agent at the other end had to look up directions. Any staff member answering the phone should know that. We wound up finding our own way.

We asked a front desk agent (not the one who checked us in) for an Indian restaurant nearby. Again, she did not know and hit google maps. The result was one restaurant no longer in existence and another that changed names and was a dump.

Overall, I would definitely stay at the hotel again. I would just not rely on the staff for recommendations.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. As our "host" David explained, the concept is meant to be homey, to feel like a living room and a comfortable place. The room was very large by NYC standards with a lovely view of an old building on curved streets. Little touches like the ipod docking station, fabulously large shower, lights that dim were great as were the big things, comfortable bed, quiet room. I could live without the trendy glass sink and all white walls like a cube but other than that the room was perfect. (free snacks and nonalcoholic drinks a major plus) Downstairs in the lobby are sofas where you can have coffee and muffins in the morning and wine in the evening. That part of the hotel which is new is still being worked out as it is a bit confusing as to what is available for guests and you have to ask for your coffee/expresso from patient helpful servers who bring it to you. The restaurant is divine, we had Thanksgiving dinner there which was memorable (spent 2 1/2 hours on dinner!) with live music and amazing food. Nice gym which we didn't use. Convenient to most trains (2/3, J/Z, a walk to the 4/5) and also to TKTS booth in South Street where we got 1/2 price tickets to a show. Andrew and David were very helpful "hosts" as were everyone else who worked there. This is a special place.
