“Great Find in Lower Manhattan”

Great hotel in the Financial District. FIrst I wanted to get a clean hotel (i.e. no bed bugs). The reviews indicated that this was a clean hotel and this is in fact what I found when I arrived. I was worried that it would be a mistake to stay in the financial district, but I need not have worried. The hotel is right across from a 24 hour Duane Reid's (the Walgreens of NYC - sells toiletries and limited gorceries), and a couple short blocks from the nearest metro (the red line). More subway lines, inclduing the PATH are nearby too, but you just need to walk a few more blocks. At night the area around was quiet, but not in a bad way. I felt very safe coming back late at night. The hotel includes some nice extras - minibar with free non-alcoholic drinks and snacks (the mini bar can be used as a fridge), and wi-fi was included. They also provide slippers and robes.

The hotel and rooms are definitely of the modern variety. The sinks were fine, but they are more shallow, so there is potential to get water around, but it wasn't an issue for us. I found the lighting to be less than adequate in the bathroom, but then discoverd the two lights on the sides. I also noticed these dim over time, so I had to re-turn them on.

My one dislike was that there was no concierge per say. All staff are able to answer these types of questions. The thing is is that I asked a few different questions. They were able to answer one question, but aside from googling (which I could have easily done) they did not tell me much or answer my quesitons. Instead of saying they could look into it more, they just said 'sorry.' This wasn't a dealbreaker, but if you rely on the concierge it may be something to think about, or just research beforehand.

We booked a room at the last minute for New Years, and were very happy with the hotel. Check-in was smooth and the room was beautiful. The room service was delicious! The shower was spacious and the amenities were nice. It might be our new home away from home! Overall very happy with our stay and we are definitely going back again.
Only one caveat: There is no valet parking, so you have to park in a parking garage over two blocks away if you have an SUV. For smaller cars, there is a parking garage across the street.

After landing in New York we found out that the apartment we had booked was uninhabitable and in panic we tried to find a decent hotel for our week in Manhattan. Andaz Wall Street seemed a good choice, with big rooms and complimentary wine and snacks so we booked and arrived at the hotel after one awful night at the Holiday Inn Express on 39th Street (NOT recommended by the way). We were greeted by the nice staff in the lobby and efficiently checked in. Our rooms were huge and nicely decorated in a modern, sleek fashion. Nice big bathroom with rainshower, good quality towels and nice amenities. The bed is pretty hard, but I slept like a baby anyway for six nights. And I'm a fussy sleeper, so that's means a lot.

The bedroom is equipped with lots of nice ambiance lighting, a black out curtain which is needed since it's Manhattan, and a big TV. Lots of channels to choose from, and complimentary WiFi. Someone on Tripadvisor comlained that the WiFi is slow but my husband and I had no problems surfing.

The complimentary snacks aren't revolutionary, but a nice touch. They are refilled every evening. Every evening you also get free wine in the lobby which is really nice. In the daytime you get free coffee/tea (lattes, cappuccinos etc) there as well, so there are always people hanging around in th elobby which makes it feel alive.

I would definately recommend the hotel to any picky traveller. This is where I'll stay when I return to New York. Also, the restaurant Wall and Water is really good. Great breakfast and dinner and super friendly staff!

For my 50th birthday, I decided to make my first trip to New York and I found this hotel after reading the reviews on this website. From the moment we arrived, I was impressed with the hotel. Instead of the stuffy front desk at other hotels, guests are checked in by individuals carrying tablets in a comfortable "living room" environment. Rich was a true professional even though I had a credit card glitch. Upon arriving to our room, we were amazed at the size, quality, and cleanliness of it. Guests can partake of the free snacks and nonalcohic beverages. If you prefer, they offered Grey Goose vodak, premium beer, and whisey in the room for purchase. Every day, the hotel provided a happy hour with free wine from 6:00-8:00. In addition, coffee/tea, juice, muffins, and cookies were offered in the morning along with cookies and beverage available all day.
Although the hotel was located in the Wall Street financial district, all tourist sites (Times Square, Garment District, Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, etc.) were a shot train ride on the 2/3 express line. We found it to be easy to navigate th city even though we wee newbies. Finally, regards of when we encountered an employee, they were courteous and helpful. The service was the best I have ever experenced in my many years of travel. I recommend the Andaz Wall Street and hope to return in the spring.

Hesitated a bit to book this hotel due to the location at the south tip of Manhattan. We have stayed at many places in NYC, both bad and luxury, but this does the job all the way with a combination of great service, nice ambience and a grate rate.

Do not hesitate for what reason whatsoever to book the Andaz Wall Street hotel, as it is truly a great experience. Rooms are spacious, clean and modern. All amenities that you will ever need are found. From ipod docks to the free minibar and great sleeping comfort not to mention the very good service from the friendly staff and great products in the bathrooms.

The location works much better than anticipated due to very efficient public transportation to wherever in Manhattan you want to go.

The rate brings everything to its peak. Need i say more? Next time im in Mnahattan, i wil not hesitate to book my new favorite NYC hotel.

We had a fabulous time at the Andaz Wall Street this holiday season. The rooms are quiet, clean, well-appointed, modern, and very comfortable. The rooms are quite large for NYC hotels, and I think you get a great value for your stay. The staff members were welcoming, courteous, and helpful. There are lots of amenities that made our stay memorable: free snacks, drinks, and espresso bar in the lobby, free wireless access in the hotel, free snacks and non-alcoholic beverages in the room, slippers and bathrobes in the room, nice toiletries and linens, huge flat-screen tv, and a huge rainshower. The hotel is just a few blocks from the subway and there's a bus across the street

The only downside is that the street-noise can be loud in the morning. But if you have to wake up early anyway, it's not a big deal.

My partner and I travel to New York often and typically stay in Soho, Meatpacking or by the Park; however the Andaz Wall Street will now be one of our favourite locations to return to. The Andaz Wall Street is actually very easy to travel to and from while in Manhattan - situated at the corner of Wall and Water St.; you have access to three + different subways lines within a two block walking radius which all take you to Soho, Meatpacking, Union Sq., Central Park and Madison very quickly (and the subway line is also very easy to figure out.)

The staff at the Andaz Wall Street are fantastic, extremely helpful, kind/welcoming, and knowledgeable. Jessica, Amy and Adam thank you for making our stay feel like a home away from home. The housekeeping was efficient and quick, and another plus at the Andaz is that they include (and refill daily) snacks - chips, chocolate, energy bar; and non-alcoholic beverages - diet coke, coke, sprite, orange juice, iced tea, bottled water (both sparkling and flat) all for free.

The hotel itself is beautiful - very clean and modern; we stayed in a XL King room - huge suite with a small living room and fantastic tub/shower area. I guess because the hotel is located in the financial district it is so quiet at night - a real plus and rarity in NYC. I couldn't even hear a single car at night - so silent for sleeping. They have a pretty good gym in the basement, a "pantry" area by the main entrance where you can get coffee/tea, water and snacks during the day, as well as use a few in-house laptops. There is also a nice bar and restaurant on the 2nd and 3rd floors.

Overall, will return to the Andaz Wall Street Hotel - highly recommend it!
