The main interest of this hotel is its location.
Otherwise, beds are comfortable, full amenities are available on demand, rather quiet, free breakfast...
Don't expect too much from the basic breakfast buffet, but, hey, it's free !
Tea and coffee are available 24hrs in the dining room as well. Cookies are also offered in the lobby around tea time.
Great lobby and room service staff ! They will be reactive, meet your needs and give you plenty of advice if you need...
Downsides :
Extremely tiny rooms (won't accomodate for a flat opened large suitcase), without fridges, with very little storage space : packed New York style ! You can walk and turn around in the bathroom... that looks abnormally big in such a context, yet it is not particularly roomy either.
Don't expect either much natural light through the tiny windows and adjacent buildings. No windows in the dining room either.
The fitness room offers a very minimal equipment, it is in the basement, close to the unwelcoming service area.
Note that breakfast cutlery is 100% disposable plastic or cardboard, which does not show much environment care.

Many NYC hotels now routinely tack on an extra (often undisclosed or poorly communicated resort fee of $30-$40 PER DAY on top of the ridiculously high room charges and NY and NYC taxes (and Javits Convention Center fee). Not this property! Great service. Nice rooms, Handy location (in the Garmet District). Walk to Times Square AND the new Hudson Yards! Breakfast good but room too small. 2 elevators not enough for the property so a bit of a wait. Nice business center. Highly recommended. Tell NYC hotels you will NOT pay a resort fee. Midtown Manhattan is not a resort.

Room tip: Quiet room not facing 39th Street

I happened to find this hotel one morning for a great price so I immediately booked it. The location was great being only a few blocks from Penn station, Time Square, the Theater district and so many dining options. Well worth it & the Staff was kind and helpful

We like how close this hotel is to the Port Authority. The check-in was very easy and fast- thanks Henry for being so welcoming and recommending the Irish Pub down the street for dinner - a nice place to eat after a long day of traveling. Our room had a king size bed, but the room was not that big (hey, you are in NYC), still, there was plenty of room for our luggage. The bathroom was very clean. Overall, a nice and safe place to stay in NYC.
