A friend and I ate here while we were in New York City last October. It was the first time my friend had ever eaten Japanese food, so I selected items that I thought she would enjoy, including miso soup and shrimp & vegetable tempura. Then introduced her to raw fish by ordering some sushi. I also added sashimi for myself. She loved her meal and would definitely return. I too enjoyed my meal, especially the shrimp tempura and the sashimi (see photographs). This is a small, intimate and unpretentious restaurant.
