We we visiting new york for my son's college graduation. from our welcome stepping out of the taxi to our smooth departure, everything was wonderful. The bellman made a special trip to drop off the train schedule to my son's school! everyone went out of their was to assure that we were happy and well cared for. i normally enjoy trying new hotels when visiting a large metro city like new york, but we are sold the the langham and will consider it our home away from home for all future visits!

Room Tip: Tip: we have stayed more than once - all the rooms were beautiful!

When we checked in a little early, our room was not ready. We waited only about 15 minutes and enjoyed a light lunch and drink at Measure. We were delighted to find that we had been upgraded to a beautiful suite with its own patio at the back of the hotel. Not a bit of noise even though we were only on the 5th floor. The receptionist who checked us in was extremely efficient and polite and no matter where we turned in the hotel there was always a smiling face. The purpose of our trip was to go to the theater and it is about a 20 to 25 minute walk over to restaurant row where we had dinner prior to Les Mis. Next time I think I would have dinner at their beautiful restaurant and then take a cab to the theater. On restaurant row all the places seem to cram in as many tables as possible, and it's very noisy and not relaxing at all.
In any event we really recommend the Langham and hope to be able to stay there again for our next trip to the theater this fall.

The windows open to allow in fresh air.
Room service is delicious...great fruit and yogurt and fish and beat salad.
The staff is really nice. The hotel is super clean. The bath tubs and showers have good water pressure. They will bring you all of the towels you might want. A great hotel.

Room Tip: I have spent many many nights at this hotel...more than 45 and it is really terrific.

Wife and I stayed last weekend on a quick Mother's Day trip. Executive room very big and well appointed. Huge bathroom with tub and shower. Booked on Amex package and no mention of upgrade consideration at check in. Dinner at restaurant was perfect. In room amenities and free mini bar very nice touch. Not thrilled with the concierge, most of time only one on duty and long wait. Service great once we got to speak with him. We will be back if price is right.

First stay at the Langham since it's changed from the Setai Fifth Avenue. We expected the same great experience and were not disappointed. Only stayed one night. We wanted to check it out and be certain that it was the place for us to stay in NYC. We've stayed at both the Mandarin Oriental and the Trump Soho. Both pleasant stays but the room, a Premier Place was the best room I've stayed at in NYC. Very roomy, cool layout, comfy bed and best of all incredible bathroom. Tub the size of a small swimming pool! The ladies will understand this...the lighting in the bathroom was soft and so flattering. Just what you want when you are heading out for the night. Really sets the right mood. All interactions with the staff were positive. From the door to the check-in to the maid service. Love the complimentary soft drinks and water. Extra tip: Indulge in a "Perfect Pear" martini at Measure. Just awesome!! Booked two more visits. Can't wait!!

I can't say enough good things about our stay at the Langham Place on Fifth Avenue. Having our own personal assistant call 2 days in advance to iron out details and suggest places to eat was incredible. When we arrived, we were automatically upgraded to a family suite which was gorgeous and the view out our window of the empire state building was breathtaking. The food was delicious, and the nightly turn down service with cookies was just a great surprise. We will definitely be returning whenever we stay in the city.

Room Tip: Spring for a suite, having a personal assistant to help you with whatever you need was perfect!

My wife and I recently travelled to NYC and stayed at the Langham Place. We have never stayed there before but I chose the hotel because it came with flights and accommodation on a known travelling website. I opted for a superior king room.

The hotel is ideally located on 5th Avenue between 37th and 36th streets, hence the Empire State Buidling is a couple of blocks down (on 34th street) with Macy's and Victoria Sectrets on the same street. Uptown is Saks and other luxury brand stores, and if you are for a walk you could reach central park on 59th Street.

The Times Square is less than 10 minutes walk (43rd to 48th street) crossing Broadway and 8th avenue. The advatange to stay at the Langham is you won't have the same level of noise as you would encounter when staying any nearer to Times Square.

The local area is thus reach with things to do and very good restaurants. the favourites are Keenz Steakhouse (36th street West), just less than 200 yards from the hotel and the hotel's Ai Fiori.

As usual, I contacted the hotel in advance and managed to get a room with view looking at the Empite State Building. Our room was on 9th floor and facing another buidling so you would have to look up out of the window but it was view nevertheless.

The room was spacious and well appointed with a desk and large LCD TV. The window shutter and lights are controlled bedside which is useful. The bathroom is marble and huge, my wife and I aren't fans of open space bathroom and WC though. Nevertheless the amenities are of high quality. Moreover, the minibar is filled everyday with soft drinks and water, compliment of the hotel! My wife and I rarely had to purchase a drink. Now how about that for generosity and value
for money?! Even more, the hotel offers press service for up to 5 items on arrival!!

My only gripe is with the room's broadband service which was intermittant and I had to frequently keep logging otherwise it is fast enough and costs $60 for 3-4 nights, which is not too bad.

I had some business to attend to whilst in NYC but my wife is all praise of the swimming pool and spa. They offer apple and drinks for free BTW!!

The main attraction of the hotel, IMHO, are the staff. From the moment we arrived at the hotel's doorstep to the moment we left, everything went smooth and we were greeted with geniune smiles and greet you wherever. The staff were always keen to assist and the service was prompt. We asked for electric adaptor and it was delivered within less than 10 minutes, and to be exact 3 were delivered simultaneously.

We have only praise for Langham Place and the staff. We wish to thank Tony, Dwayne, Yankee and those who we did not get to know their name for their excellent service.

Highly recommended !!

Room Tip: Contact the hotel sometime before arriving to book for best rooms and views.
