After several trips to New York always looking for a great Chinese restaurant we headed to Philippe. Nice dark restaurant really noisy, maybe because was full or because there were 2 groups of eight, but a conversation was sometimes problematic. We had dumplings pork and shrimp and duck spring roll. Only he rolls were good, dumplings had no taste at all and the shrimp were sticky as marshmallow. The velvet chicken was a disaster, taste like something out of a can, and the crispy duck was so greasy and overcooked that was leftover. No wine under 50$ in the list. Poor service too, brought me twice the wrong glass of wine. There are several far better options among Chinese restaurants in midtown or maybe we ordered the wrong food.
