“Great, relaxing way to take in the Manhattan skyline and key landmarks”
Reviewed 11 August 2014 via mobile

Staying in midtown on 8th Avenue it was a no brainer using this hop on hop off service to get to Wall St and 9/11. We also took a cruise via rivals Circle Line tours, but the hop on hop off nature was more suited to reaching these places at a more sedate pace and picturesque route than say by subway. Running every 45 minutes it was easy to plan how long to spend at each site/drop off point, before looking to jump back on the next boat. Our guide was very knowledgeable and informative of the area and local sights as to be expected, and he'd clearly told his jokes many, many times before. If you travel on a bright, sunny day, make sure you have sunscreen on, as you're very exposed on the upper deck. Also manage your expectations for taking photos of the Statue of Liberty. It's difficult to take great shots when it's so sunny, especially facing into the sun. So maybe consider going earlier or later in the day.

“Great way to see NY if you are in a hurry!”
Reviewed 10 August 2014

An excellent way to see NYC if you are in a hurry, especially on a clear, sunny but very cold winter’s day. The ticket offered a Hop-on/Hop-off option that provided a very quick and efficient way to get around New York, but we chose to stay on board and do the whole tour in one trip. Our guide for the trip was DC who provided informative and witty commentary throughout the tour. Highly recommended and certainly an alternative to the much more expensive bus trips with their legion of touts hassling you on every street corner!

“The way to get around”
Reviewed 10 August 2014

We wanted to go around the Statue of Liberty and ellis island however the line was insane. We went to talk to the water taxi folks and they convinced us we should go with them. This was the best decision or us. We bought the all day access pass and were allowed to jump on and off at any location. Great way to see the city and get around. Plus they serve drinks on there and it was not overly crowded. People are constantly getting on and off so you can change seats. A/C downstairs also. Staff informative of landmarks and friendly!
