I ended up here last minute as I needed a location near NYT building. Very inexpensive for the location, but this is a budge hotel - it has been redone and is hip, but is still very basic and my room could have been a little cleaner. (Large sliding door in bathroom had a very dirty track, light switch was dirty.) TONS of tourists, as expected, a great mix of people from all over. But be ready for the crowds and a lot of young people. Despite the crowds, it was easy to get coffee in the morning and they had great juices and other breakfast choices. Very friendly staff. One piece of feedback I would give them is to lay off the scent/perfume piping through the lobby. It was so strong it was hard to eat breakfast.
