This hotel has a ikea feel to it from there furniture to the laid back help from the hotel staff. They don't do continential breakfast, but they do have an alright menu. The swing night of Saturdays is the best. The view is great, but the bathroom is dorm-like small sized. This hotel is in the middle of theater district and very convient.

I loved this hotel! The staff were brilliant, the style and the location was perfect for us!!

You are right next to times sq, 10 minutes from Central Park, Empire State Building, Rockefeller. You are also in the heart of the broadway theatre district!!

The rooms are very small but when you are in New York, you don't spend too much time in the hotel!!

We were lucky to get a great view from our room which was a bonus!

Gutted we weren't staying longer!!

Situated right next to the time square. You will immediately expedience the new York City at the moment you step out of the hotel. A very busy hotel with a lot of people all the time. Room is comfy and well equipped. Gym room is surprisingly good.

The fire alarm went off at about midnight during our stay. About 6 or 7 minutes into the alarm, we were told it was "just a test of the fire system" and that we (the hundreds of guests who filed down the stairway in the middle of the night) should all go back to our rooms.
The astonishing part to this story is: what hotel on earth schedules a fire drill in the middle of the night, on a weekend at the height of tourist season WITHOUT ANNOUNCING THERE WOULD BE A DRILL - EVEN TO THE FIRE DEPARTMENT? It was absurd and the guests were pretty freaked out that the hotel would expect us to believe that.
This isn't a very well run hotel.

Dear Christina V,

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel, as it can only allow us to improve for the future. Our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience and unnecessary worry the fire alarm caused during your stay with us. These are not our service standards by any means, and the appropriate department heads have been notified and are further investigating this matter. We hope to have the opportunity to regain your confidence in us upon a future stay.

My son and I went to NYC to see a game at Yankee stadium. For a couple of guys the room is more than adequate. We had two twin beds. I would not recommend it for couples as the female half would complain about the size of the room and the small bathroom.

Stayed here for 3 nights and it was ok for a short trip, but be warned that the rooms are on the very small side - always go for a corner room if you can (although I can't really guarantee if they are that much bigger, looks like it from the floor plan poster that was next to the elevator)!
The air-conditioner in our room was very loud, so it may interrupt your sleep. The rooms were relatively clean, although the bathroom ceiling needed to be repaired as paint was peeling off pretty badly.
Hotel as whole is very close to Times Sq, and with a very trendy atmosphere. Staff were ok, not the nicest of people but tolerable considering the number of guests they were processing.

The hotel as a whole is good if you aren't going to spend a lot of time in your room, and a decent price compared to others around the area. I would definitely say that it is not a 4*, more like a 2-3* place in comparison to other 4* hotels in the area. If you can, fork out some more money to another hotel near the area that is genuinely a 4*.

Room Tip: Corner room, and wifi is free for ONE device ($5 for 4 devices).

I travel 200 nights a year and am very appreciative of great service and somewhat tolerant when it is less than perfect, but my recent stay at the Row was pretty poor. The worst was check in- granted, it was fairly late at night, but there was a long line waiting to check in and one frazzled employee to do it. The Row is a fairly large hotel right near Times Square with over 1000 rooms, so there is obviously lots of acitvitiy and at 11 at night, the lobby resembled a nightclub more than a hotel. Rooms are ok, a bit small but that's pretty standard. The overall vibe was a nightclub crossed with a youth hostel..
