We only had about a day and a half after our cruise to see New York City so we decided we would do a sightseeing tour with Gray Line. We did the uptown tour and it was ok. I was not impressed at all with the tour guide. He was boring, he kept talking about tips, and he kept being rude and yelling at people. A couple times, he got rude because someone would sit in his seat. I understand the seat is clearly marked, however, not everyone pays attention but instead of nicely saying, I'm sorry, you can't sit there. He would say, "you! You're in my seat! Get up! I'm not kidding. Move!" Um, ok then. He also kept mentioning how they do accept tips. And when i say kept mentioning...i don't mean like 2 or 3 times, i mean he kept mentioning it like probably a couple dozen times. It was annoying. With his boring and at moments rude self, he shouldn't have been talking about tips at all unless they were just going to go to the bus driver alone. I didn't even get his name. Anyway, moving on...We then did the night tour and Debra was our tour guide and she was excellent!! She acts like she loves her job and her city and I love that. That's how it should be. She would point out good photo ops which I appreciated. So my advice is...if you choose this bus line.....try to get on the buses where Debra is the tour guide...she's fabulous! I plan on going back and would probably do this tour again...I will try to find her and if she's not available and I step on a bus that the other guy is on...I will be stepping right back off. :)
