“Excellent stay & first class service what more can I say”
Reviewed 13 August 2014

The hotel & rooms are amazing & staying here for a week was good as there was lots of space even with 3 of us. The service is 1st class from the check in all the way through to your check out. A special thanks to Darwin who made our birthdays special. It was lovely to come back in the evening & find a birthday cake waiting for us,we really enjoyed it. The location was great with lots of lovely restaurants within walking distance. Did lots of things too many to mention. It was good to be staying away from Times Square as we got to see lots of local areas as we like to walk everywhere.

Room Tip: All are good

far from the luxury they trumpet - cooling unit does not accurately service the room when suite doors are shut - and their modern electric units - complete with buttons for "desk" light - rather than switches - does not work well at all. they plugged a fridge for my infant into a non-working outlet and ruined all of his food.

I have stayed here a few times, both for business and lesiure. I always always very pleased with both the rooms and service.

The Conrad is very conveniently located right next to Goldman Sachs offices which is the reason I first stayed there. The hotel is of top standard with large rooms and ample space (I understand it used to be an apartment hotel) which is quite uncommon in NYC. There is also a nice bar/restaurant. If you like me like to stay in the lower part of manhattan I would highly recommend the Conrad.

Last week was my first time in New York City, and my husband and I were fortunate enough to stay at this beautiful hotel. It's walking distance from the 9/11 Memorial and Battery Park, and it has a great restaurant attached to it (Blue Smoke). I did so many wonderful things around NYC in the 4 days I was there, but none of it would have been possible without the help of Andy, the concierge. He was so quick, professional, and knowledgeable- by far one of the best concierges I have ever experienced. I told him I needed help trying to figure out how to get to Sarabeth's, Washington Park, and take the subway to buy Les Miserables tickets, and within minutes he had printed out detailed directions on where to walk. I cannot tell you how grateful I am for those hard copy directions because the GPS on my phone did not work well AT ALL. He then went out of his way to make us dinner reservations at TAO for the following night. His advice to book tickets for the Top of the Roc online was smart as well- I saved so much wait time. The other concierge was friendly as well, but not as helpful to the extent that Andy was. Andy, thank you so much. You saved me so much time and frustration, which allowed me to focus on just experiencing the city. You helped made the 4 day trip worth it. :)

Just returned from two nights at the Conrad hotel and really enjoyed the stay. I liked the location since it's a part of NYC that I don't often get to so there was a lot to see. Right across from the hotel's main entrance is the Irish Hunger Memorial, a park and the river ferry depot. Of course, the WTC and Freedom Tower are one block away too. Lots of very good restaurants in the area too. This area is primarily business-focused so might not appeal to everyone but there's great skyscraper architecture plus the waterfront.

I loved the look and feel of this hotel - the lobby is very unusual with soaring atrium but not the '80's fern & brass style - this was almost futuristic. The rooms all have a separate sitting area, a bar area (with sink, Nespresso & mini-bar), TVs in sitting area and bedroom. Furnishings were modern, comfortable and had good lighting. Plenty of storage - both closets and drawers. Very large windows with nice wooden blinds plus curtains - nice views.

Bathroom was fine - toilet and sink in one room and huge shower in totally separate section, both w/frosted glass doors. Note that colleagues who were rooming together mentioned that the glass doors had a 1" gap when closed, so there was a lack of privacy for them.

I would stay here again and take the opp to explore more of this area.

Room Tip: The higher the floor, the better the view!

Green Features: The light switches confused some of my colleagues but i thought they were fine (maybe a bit excessive with options for every single light in the room....)

Stayed 3 nights at the Conrad and highly recommend it for a family visit. Its contemporary feel with space and design are particularly appealing.
Check-in could have been more efficient, as they forgot to give us our breakfast vouchers (and so next day this took a while) but worth the wait as breakfasts were excellent.

Room was spacious but the bathroom sink wasn't practical for a family of 4 since no room for toilet bags so forced to put them on the floor. The shower is also open plan so with a high-jet shower, you can imagine it's not that easy to keep the whole bathroom completely dry! We were not lucky one night, as our neighbours in the next room were partying until the early hours but reception handled it well.
We also checked out the rooftop bar but quickly turned around, as it looked like a hangout amongst the local youngsters.
Apart from that, an excellent address downtown.

As part of our recent trip to NYC we had stayed in Midtown for the first few nights to give us a real feel for the city, however I am glad we decided to switch properties half way through as the Conrad was a totally different experience.

Midtown is the real heart and soul of NYC, however it is busy, loud and dirty. Escaping back to your hotel is not as peaceful as we found our ultimate escape to the Conrad to be.

Situated in Battery Park City, just west of the World Trade Center site, the hotel can be found overlooking the Hudson River. As you enter the hotel you are instantly hit by the space in this property compared to those in Midtown. This place is huge with fantastic artwork and design to really welcome you to this place of relaxation.

Check-in was a breeze and the agent really cared about pointing out the facilities of the hotel and also ensuring all our needs were met. As our room was not ready yet our bags were whisked away by the bell boy and we hit nearby Century 21 to do some shopping.

All shopped out we returned later to collect our key and go straight to our suite. We were amazed when we arrived in this HUGE corner suite overlooking lady liberty on one side and then across the Hudson river to Newark on the other side, truly breathtaking. The suite itself was HUGE compared to our previous hotel with a large sitting room, bar area, bathroom with a big walk in shower and then a large master bedroom where you could lie in bed and look out over the Hudson.

The room was also well appointed with touchscreen controls for the lighting, do not disturb and to call housekeeping and we also had a nespresso machine to enjoy some quality european coffee (i'm not a fan of US coffee, sorry!) which finished the room off perfectly.

Another great feature of the property is the Conrad Concierge app. You can order specific items to your room before arrival, make dinner reservations or even whilst out for a run put your breakfast order in to be waiting in your room on your return. This is a great example of a hotel chain moving with the times and developing technologies that enhance your experience, I thought this was great.

We did not eat in the Atrio restaurant, however we did enjoy some cocktails one evening, along with a few at the Loopy Doopy rooftop bar which overlooks the nearby skyline and also has fab views over the hudson river, well worth a visit. There is also a great giftshop for you to pick up any treats or essentials without having to go far.

I have stayed in a few Conrad properties before in the Far East where service standards are excellent, if there is one thing about the Conrad in NYC is that it lives up to the excellent customer experience these properties provide. Well worth a visit and it will be our NYC home from home next time we visit, that's for sure.

Room Tip: Pay for a corner river view suite. Totally worth it.

Green Features: Typical Hilton Group values to ensure no unnecessary laundering. They also checked we had sufficient shower gel / shampoo left over rather than just giving us more to waste away.
