Just returned from a 3-night stay at this Hilton. I had a 15-year-old, a 14-year-old and a 10-year-old with me, and we were all more than pleased. If you want to be in the heart of Times Square, you will be! That said, we had no street noise in spite of the fact that we were overlooking 42nd St. I've stayed at the Westin just down the street before and would definitely stay at this Hilton again instead. Great staff, too!

Stayed at this hotel during the last leg of a road trip in the US and Canada with my family.

Pro's:
1) super-friendly, professional and helpful staff (i.e., upgraded my room on arrival,...)
2) perfect location for exploring Manhattan (of course, being right in the midde of Times Square, if you don't like crowds at your hotel doorstep, than that'a another story)
3) good sized rooms - especially for NYC/Midtown standards
4) speedy check-in and out (plus they gave me a late check-out without any hesitation as soon as I asked)
5) great views from every room

Con's
1) the rooms are clean but not spotless
2) decor is decent but not exceptional and some refurbishment is needed
3) very expensive breakfast (I think, for that price, a basic continental breakfast could be included)
4) wii-fi: free in the lobby, high price in the rooms if you are not a premium Hilton Honors member (this I find hard to explain since a budget Hilton chain like Hampton Inn provides free wi-fi to everyone property-wide - the same applies to breakfast)

All in all, a very good experience and I would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to explore Manhattan for a few days

What more can I say ... my title says it all. "Clean, Comfortable, Quiet and Friendly Staff"... Had a big corner room on the 18th floor with 2 huge windows overlooking all the lights of Broadway to one side and the empire state building to the other ... WOW what a treat. Breakfast the next morning was great ... freshly prepared omelets, strong and tasty coffee and friendly waiters. Front desk and porters also very friendly and efficient. Super convenient location. No complaints at all.

Even if it is located in the busy Times Square area, this hotel is designed in such a way that when you are in your room, you don't hear the street below. When you enter, you are in a long corridor leading to a central elevator that goes up to the lobby and reception area. Once there, you don't feel the street anymore, which is great when you arrive from a long trip or have walked in the city all day. From there, you can go up to your room.
We had a room with 2 queen beds, perfect for a family of 4. From our large window, we could see the Reuters and many other interesting buildings. We were on the 24th floor and could barely see the walkers down below. The room was very clean, the beds comfortable and all was extremely quiet.
We did not have breakfast at the hotel, so I cannot comment on that. There are dozens of restaurants in the vicinity where breakfast is cheaper, starting with Applebee's just downstairs from the hotel. Don't expect the greatest breakfast though, it was just OK, but at half the price compared to the hotel.
The staff was reasonably friendly and efficient. I asked for an extra towel and got it almost immediately. The grooms at the entrance level kept our bags for us for a few hours after we checked out, so we could enjoy the city a little more before we left to return to Montreal.
In conclusion, we enjoyed our stay at this hotel and recommend it.

Stayed August 21st for business. Disappointed, for $50 more I could have stayed at the Marquis which is much more up dated and has more amenities. I will not stay here again when other hotels in the are better.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review telling us about your stay. I apologize that your stay was not the five star experience you have come to expect from the Hilton Times Square. I am happy to announce that we are planning a full scale renovation of our lobby and guestrooms for the end of this year. You were also disappointed with our choice of amenities. We offer many of the amenities that most Times Square properties offer. If there was something specific that you were looking for I would like to know what it was. Any feedback you can give us only helps us to improve the experience for all of our guests. We promise to continue to value our business and leisure travelers and make every stay a 5 star experience.

I took my daughter to Times Square, New York for her birthday. The location of Hilton Times Sq. on 42nd Street was ideal for us to zip in and out about Manhattan. Everything between Central Park and Times Sq. was within walking distance anytime night and day, including restaurants, shops and Radio City. The down side of the hotel was that there is no Executive Lounge and the room we had was the old Hilton decor especially the bathroom. The buffet breakfast was adequate. The absolutely best part of the stay was the surprise treat of chocolate mouse and birthday candle, chocolates, nuts, fruit, bottled water and a card, prepared by Marvin of the front desk for my 14-year old daughter. Needless to say she was ecstatic and I was duly impressed. Marvin was excellent when he checked us in and this was just a really decent gesture! Good on you, Marvin!!

40th Floor room with views of Times Square and the Hudson, King Deluxe, all up to Hilton Standards, business centre was running and well stocked, the front lobby was very nice, everyone really was helpful, location wise we had originally planned on staying at the Plaza but this place is just in the right location, was not as expensive and you are right in the middle of everything, the subway, all the main attractions. Room very clean, and promptly cleaned every day, no swimming pool but not needed its New York get out there and see the city, bar in the lobby was awesome, staff including Richard were very helpful, thanks for the food recommendations we truly enjoyed them, we will see you on our next trip !
