Hotel is next to the subway, and an easy walk to Times Square. If you stay on the higher floors, the street noise is minimized. The bar in the lobby area is a very nice place to lounge and enjoy a view of the city. Suprisingly good value. Not a resort or a 5-star luxury hotel but good hotel. I had problems with the wifi being interrupted and the hotel wrote off the charge. While I would have preferred reliable wifi, the responsiveness from the hotel was appreciated.

Room Tip: Higher floors are quieter.

Stayed here with my son for a fun weekend to see the St Louis Blues play the New York teams. Hotel was great, people were friendly. It was really cold and one of the main entrances was closed for renovation, so a couple times we had to walk further in the cold, but I won't hold that against them. I would go back tomorrow!

This hotel was highly recommended by a friend. Friendly staff and great service. Great location situated at the heart of Times Square. Close to subway, shopping and best of all, on broadway. They have also happily waved the charge for my internet connection in my room. I would definitely stay in this hotel if I am ever in NY again

This hotel was recently renovated and all the rooms are updated and like new. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are spacious for a New York hotel. The lobby breakfast buffet is very good. Internet and fitness facilities are very good. Overall a great non- resort hotel. Note- there are limited frills in this hotel- no pool, no spa, no concierge lounge, no gift shop, but with Times Square at your doorstep you don't really need these things.

Stayed during 2014 Memorial Day weekend. Hotel is perfectly located one block from the center of Times Square, and next to three metro stations (5 minute walk away) where one can get a train to just about anywhere in Manhattan (or beyond). Staff were helpful and professional. Quick and easy check-in and check-out. If arriving by car, be sure to use the 41st street entrance, not the 42nd street one. 42nd street was mass humanity, and the police maintain a constant presence to keep traffic moving and create a relatively safe environment. The street entrance only leads to elevators, which must be taken to get to the lobby. Staff are there, however, to assist. If you're looking to stay in the Times Square area, this is a great hotel to stay in.

Room Tip: Upgrade to high floor room. View is memorable.

WOW this was a great experience. The hotel is right by the subway entrance. You can go anywhere very quickly from here in under 20 minutes. The Hotel was wonderful. We were on the 37th floor looking out to the city. We could see the World Trade Center, statue of liberty and the Empire State Building clearly out of our window. We decided our view was enough for us and never went up the Empire State Building on our trip. The rooms were very updated , surprisingly QUIET for a city and the staff is EXCELLENT. The only issue i had with them is the quality of the towels, they need to be replaced, badly.

After driving almost 400 miles from upstate New York down to New Jersey, then catching the train to Penn Station, my wife and I walked through the cold rain from the station to the hotel. The walk itself was an experience because there were so many people, it was raining and cold, and we were pulling our luggage with us. We finally make it to the hotel, only to find out that I had booked the day before. Wow... I was so sick with myself. The thing is there was little to no sypathy shown by the front desk employee, regarding our situation. Just a straight faced glare. I fully understand that this was totally my fault, but she didnt do anything to help to make the situation any better. Ended up booking a place a few blocks away, but like I said, the front desk person could have shown more empathy.

Dear 808papa,

Thank you for taking the time to post a review of your recent stay. Feedback such as yours is a vital element to our success and used to train our staff on what our guests expect of us. I apologize that the staff member you came into contact with was not more sympathetic to your situation. I have spoken to the staff regarding your comments and trust that this has been a good retraining opportunity for all our front desk staff members. I hope you will consider staying with us again so we may better demonstrate our commitment to your satisfaction.
