Cute place. That's the only nice thing I can say. My banger sausages were burned. The mash was cold. And the food took forever to arrive to out table. My dining partner had the fish and chips. The fish was undercooked, the mushy peas refrigerator cold, and the fries were hard and bland. Service was barely there. A big disappointment over all.

I went alone while on a business trip. I should have spotted trouble when, of all the open tables in the back room, they seated me next to a pair in heated conversation, depriving all of us of some privacy. After that, the staff was friendly but stand-offish and not well informed. Twice I ordered something off the menu only to have them come back and tell me it wasn't actually available. Portions while fine were small and the food was not especially good - mac and cheese was greasy, spinach side was tiny and as much garlic as spinach, and chocolate creme brulee was essentially cold chocolate pudding with a thick sugar crust. Pros: nice beer list (though not actually all available), location convenient to theater.
