We went early to avoid crowds. It quickly began to fill up mainly with parents and younger children. You could stay there all day its so huge but If you only have a few hours then you need to decide beforehand which exhibitions you want to see. Got a bit lost on one occasion but well worth a visit oh yes, and its free!

“Meh”

I was really looking forward to this museum; and was a little underwhelmed. The main atrium and the hall with the animal dioramas were pretty cool. But the rest of the museum is difficult to navigate especially with a three year old in tow. They have an app that is supposed to give you directions through the museum, but the wifi in the more remote parts of the museum doesn't work. Parts of it were also a little worn down and the Field Museum in Chicago has a much better dinosaur hall.

I'm glad we went just to have gone, but I've gotta say I much prefer the Field or in New York, the Met.

“Best Museum on the Planet”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 July 2014

I was there from 10 am until 5:45 pm and didn't get to see it all. What I did see was amazing! It was worth paying the $35 for the SuperSaver so I could see the planetarium show, the IMAX 3D movie on sharks, and all the special exhibits. The exhibits on pterosaurs and poision were especially interesting. Although the place was mobbed, I had no problem getting to see any of the exhibits. I just wish I had more time to revisit some of my favorite galleries.

What an exciting place. The amount of artifacts including dinosaurs, peoples, cultures etc were well explained, wonderfully represented, and unique! Will be back on my next visit!

“Worth visiting..!!!”

We were all wowed by the realistic setting. In many of the displays you felt as though you were right there with them. We all learned a lot on this visit. Went down to the dining area and had a great meal of BBQ and home style potatoes.
