Yolanda's apartment is a pleasure to come back to after a long day of seeing the sights. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the utensils, pots and pans, crockery and glasses that you could possibly need. The bedrooms and bathrooms are huge and cleaned to perfection. Yolanda has lots of books for her guests to enjoy and lots of extras in the fridge and pantry to share. We enjoyed many a beer at the pub (The 'Native') on the corner where the staff were very friendly and the beer cold and cheap. The supermarket and transport (bus and train) are close by. The locals are extremely friendly and helpful when asking for directions.
And although Yolanda is helpful with any questions about the local area, I would recommend that a compendium full of information such as local eateries, churches (for the gospel singing) and immediate places of interest, be available so that guests can go back to the information at their leisure and not have to rely on their memory.
It is a comfortable and charming residence that I would recommend to anyone.

My husband and I were meeting friends from overseas and didn't know what to expect beyond that of the pictures online. Let me just say that the the house is much more beautiful than even the pictures present. We were thoroughly impressed. We loved our time there and felt so at home. Yolanda, Crystal & Joe were extremely personable and welcoming, filling the house with every accommodation possible. It felt like visiting with friends rather than renting a place. They're the best people...really!!! The neighborhood is very cool and has a very relaxed type of feel; great to come back to after seeing the crazy, busy midtown section of NYC. The subway station is a block away and there are plenty of stores & great restaurants at your finger tips. All in all, we know that we'll be back and would recommend it to any of our friends visiting NY.

This accommodation was exactly as described and pictured. Our host Yolanda was very helpful with information. A compendium of restaurants, transport etc would be beneficial (probably for her as well) within the unit. The location was very easy to access trains and buses. Free Wi-Fi would be a great advantage especially for extended stays.

The stay here was good. Yolanda was very helpful throughout my stay, and waited up for a late night flight arrival. Bread, milk, coffee etc were provided and the kitchen was well appointed. Location was excellent. It was quiet, very close to the subway, cafes, shops etc. The district was tidy, and no issues about being out at night, and worth a visit in itself. Many places are walkable from the house. The house was very comfortable, and Yolanda has spent some effort to make it feel like a home. Rooms are large, and comfortable. A great base from where to visit/explore NY. There are two rooms, and I shared with another group from the UK. While sharing might be an issue for some, I enjoyed it. We did our own thing, but it was good to be able to share thoughts, have discussions, ideas of places etc. Price for eight nights was excellent. Much better than a hotel. I would certainly stay there again.
