I've stayed at the Muse every January for the past three years. The only negative thing about the hotel is that we had a problem with the staff being able to find our luggage on our first trip. The manager was very helpful, and even sent us up a free bottle of wine and chocolates for our trouble. Also, don't let the valet at the hotel talk you into renting a town car. It was a rip off! We should have stuck to a taxi to go back to the airport. The staff handled our issues so well that we decided to give them another chance, because the rest of our experience was so great. Our next two trips we had absolutely no problems. The front desk staff is always very nice and accommodating. The rooms are huge for NYC standards. Everything is always well kept and very clean. They had remodeled the lobby and bar/restaurant before our last stay, and it was beautiful. The bathrooms in the lobby are also by far the coolest I've seen. The hotel has a happy hour where you can get free drinks every night, and they also sometimes offer a room rate that includes breakfast. You also absolutely can't beat the location! The hotel is right off of Broadway in the heart of Times Square. It is right behind the TGI Fridays. There's a subway stop just a few blocks up also. I've stayed at other hotels in NYC, and I keep coming back to the Muse.

my partner and i stayed here for 5 nights this past may and found it to be everything we had hoped for ..a quiet place just a block off the hustle and bustle of times square and a four+star place to stay.. overall..the kimpton group knows how to make you feel welcome..and pampered..

My friends and I have stayed here three years in a row now so we can celebrate our birthdays in NYC. The hotel is in a great location. They through an incredible happy hour for the guests. The staff is helpful and fun. The rooms are excellent and reasonably priced for NYC. We are very picky women but there is nothing but praise for this hotel and its staff.

Room Tip: if you have more than 4 people, try to get the corner rooms (like 601, 602 etc). They have one king...

Stayed here on a Saturday night with wife and two young kids. Staff was very friendly, nice modern design with bar off lobby. Rooms were clean and roomy with nice bathroom. Close to Time Square. Free drinks at happy hour in lobby...it was nice to get a cold beer and sangria after hiking the city in the sun all day. $55 valet parking and $13 wifi sucked....I thought free wifi was standard these days. I would request an upper floor as with any urban hotel.

I would recommend this place.

Room Tip: Upper floor facing west

The Muse Hotel is very nice! It's proximity to Times Square, Broadway, Central Park... make it a great choice when in NYC.
The rooms are attractive and the evening wine and sangria are a nice touch. The only negative was the sound of the construction on the building directly behind the hotel that begins at 7 am Monday through Saturday. The hotel does provide ear plugs in the rooms.

I love staying at this hotel. For NYC standards the rooms are a really a good size and the price can't be beat. They are consistently great. We've stayed here for about 6 years and can't think of a single reason to change hotels. The location is perfect, rooms big and clean, beds really comfortable and staff extremely nice and competent. We will be back.

This was a home run. It's a Klimpton hotel if you are familiar with the chain. Rooms are large for NYC. About a half a block off of Times Square. perfect. Easy to get everywhere - but not the nightmare of the noise and traffic from Times Sqaure. Free wine, beer and Sangria in the lobby every night from 5-6 pm. Staff very nice. Work out room small but adequate - not a lot of weights.

There was some construction - noisy in the AM - across the street. They left ear plugs by the beds.

Room Tip: Not near construction.
