“A SPECIAL 57TH ANNIVERSARY”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

We celebrated our 57th anniversary and got royal treatment at the Muse. Our room was spacious and clean. This was a return visit. We would recommend this to anyone who is especially interested in being in the theatre district and having a fun time.

We look forward to returning for our next visit.

Thank you for your help this past trip. I usually travel on business; however, I was in a unique situation traveling with a family member in a wheelchair. They were extremely accommadating and sensitive to her situation.

Once again, the Muse team led by Sarah were efficient, professional and sincere. Thank you.

As part of my work, I have traveled and stayed in many large cities throughout the world. On mother’s day weekend of 2014, I had to work in NYC the following week after mother’s day, so I flew my wife and our adult children to NYC for a long weekend before my work week began. We opted to stay at The Muse because of its close location to many of NYC’s points of interest located so close to this gem of a hotel. Our adult children stayed in a separate room. We had rooms on the 10th and 15th floors.

Both rooms were very nice (as advertised). My wife and I had a suite and we opted for a regular room for our children. However, I was slightly disappointed that the in-room stocked bar was not actually a refrigerator, it was a cabinet. Not to worry, though, cold drinks of every sort are located next door at a small convenience mart and they stay open really late. Our rooms were situated in the back of the hotel, so the view was limited. However, you could see the tops of buildings and we could also see the entire Lion King sign and building across from our 15th floor suite.

The Muse's location is fantastic, as it's only a 1/2 block away from Times Square as well as two blocks from Radio City Music Hall and Fox News' World Headquarters. In addition, the Muse is only three blocks from NBC Studios. We walked to almost everywhere but catching a cab was extremely easy if you wanted to go to places much further away. If you are so inclined, at 5pm, the Muse offers a complimentary wine sampling (as it is part of the Kimpton Hotel Group).

The staff was absolutely fantastic from the doorman and the bellman to the front desk employees. It happened to rain the first evening of our stay and the front desk staff offered all five of us our own individual umbrellas so we could walk around Times Square.

Overall, we were very happy with The Muse as our choice. Since I’ve stayed at many hotels in the NYC area, I would totally recommend The Muse as one of the best for a stay in the Times Square area. I would definitely stay at The Muse again.

We love the Kimpton chain. This was our first stay at The Muse and overall it was a great stay. The rooms are large and comfortable. We had 2 rooms in a corner with an exterior entry door that we could close at night. Our kids were in one room so that seemed ideal until we realized there was no way to shut the light off in that small entry way. So we still had to close both room doors. We were also disappointed to find that the drinks in the minibar were lukewarm. $5 for a warm diet coke is no great deal. We did find the rooms very comfortable and clean and we enjoyed the wine in the afternoon. We also loved the water and lemonade in the lobby but found it was available less often than it is at other Kimptons. Front desk staff was helpful and you cannot beat the location. Close to everything but tucked away on a relatively quiet street.

There is nothing better than going to NYC and spending nights on Broadway seeing great shows. My family has been doing this for years but it wasn't until this year that we found the best of all hotels to stay in when visiting Broadway...The Muse. Located on a quiet street (relatively...this is New York after all), this little boutique hotel is the perfect place to rest after a long day walking the streets of New York. Close to all theaters, the Muse is immaculately clean and charming with a small restaurant attached where you can get breakfast and wonderful small plates at night. The bar is well stocked and the bartenders go out of their way to make the perfect drink. Wine is complementary at 5 every night. Service with a smile is the norm for this charming spot. We will go back to Broadway again and no doubt, we will stay at the MUSE.

Yet another amazing Kimpton Hotel. They do not disappoint with their elegance and style.
If you are driving, like I was, getting to the hotel was rather tricky. It is situated in the busiest area of Manhattan, right in the middle of Times Square. Amazing location for any tourist looking to walk out of the door and explore, but rather awful for a person who is staying for one night and driving. Parking was rather expensive, at $55 / night. Valet will probably be your only option.
The hotel itself was magnificent! Stylish lobby, boutique feel and cool ambiance that comes with almost every Kimpton hotel that I have ever stayed at.
This was a girl trip and the four of us shared a room with two beds. The room was enormous, by NYC hotels standards anyway. I was pleasantly surprised. The four of us girls were getting ready to go out and never got in each others way. The bathroom was very spacious with a very large counter, also a pleasant surprise which allowed us to spread out.
The beds were comfy and perfect size for two girls to share. We got in well after 6am and the blackout curtains did the trick of eliminating the light, soundproof windows did the trick of eliminating the noise.
I can't comment on the value, as the room was booked by another person, but my understanding that this hotel is not cheap. You do get amazing atmosphere and service.

Room Tip: Higher floor will probably do the trick of eliminating the outside noise.

Was there for wife's birthday in March. They upgraded us to a corner room. Very nice room with large windows looking down on 46th Street. Right around corner from Times Square. Complimentary wine at 5 in lobby. Complimentary bottle of Champagne for her birthday waiting for us in room. Going back for my birthday in July. Would recommend staying here.Staff was exceptional.

Room Tip: Stayed on 9th floor. Great views.
