This place was a wonderful surprise in NYC! We were able to get fresh baked goods to treat the family back home. The lines were light EARLY in the morning and even when long they moved pretty quickly. Service was good and so was the experience!

Went there because of the show like everyone else. Place was a mess. Many of the items on the menu board, like the black & white cookie, we were told they haven’t had since January. Items were good but it’s a bakery, nothing special and way over priced! Stop by take a picture and be on your way!

Stopped in because of the TV show exposure. They didn't have some of the menu items, of which some hadn't been available for 6 months. Got 3 cannoli, 4 cookies, and a cup of coffee, and the bill was $32. Take a picture, and spend your money somewhere else.

As we follow the show since a long time we figure out for our first trip to NY that visiting Carlos Bakery was a must ... as our time was limited we couldn’t make it to the original store to Hoboken and decided instead to visit the New York branch . What a disappointment !!! The staff seems to be under lot of pressure to serve you as fast as possible and as a result you have already to order before even have seen the full counter. When we asked what was a specific pastry on display the employee answered with an attitude like “ Ho gosh bloody tourist again that doesn’t know what they want. the full shop with eating area didn’t look clean at all ( paper on the floor and on tables ) we went for cannolis and puff pastry .... what to say ... it taste Industrial and really far away of real cannoli we had during our many trip to Italy .... seems Carlos focus is on marchandising and expansion rather than on quality and taste ... that’s a shame .... don’t lose your time to queue .... you can get far better in Other place ... and believe me .. being a fan of the show this really make me sad to have to say this

My kids love the show and we had visit with them before. On our long couples weekend we went to carlo’s bakery for a late breakfast.
the place has an enormous console full of desserts but only 3/4 tables to sit. so basically is a take out place. It is very near Times square. we all asked for coffees and caffe lattes which were good. Then we asked several pastries to share. The cheesecake was an absolute disappointment!! if you like new york cheesecake this is not he place( go to eileen’s or junior’s)
We also tried carrot cake which was ok and the best were the cannoli.
in my opinion i will pass by and buy cannoli to go!!
A nice place if you like the show!
