It is well located for our stay this last week, however, it is unlike most stays at a Ritz Carlton. Not once has a doorman opened the door for us, though there have been several times we approach and walked through a conversation. Except for John at the front desk, I couldn't tell name a single employee to thank or comment about because there is so little interaction, which is unusual for us and for a week's stay at a Ritz Carlton on the Club Floor. I only know John because he moved our room when we had internet connectivity issues.
The ladies and gentleman in the Club Floor lounge are about as indifferent as I have ever encountered. They make no effort whatsoever to work quietly, leaving us often not able to hear the other speaking because of the dish clatter and general service noise. It made it not so comfortable to hang out in the lounge. They weren't impolite, however, they were much more "Holiday Inn-like" then the excellence one expects at a Ritz Carlton. This week we got a great rate, for future stays, I will look elsewhere because it is not worth $600 and $700 a night, even in NYC.More
