“Perfect for single travelers.....”

Ok....the rooms are super small....the ones they have on sale. Since I am Asian and small I was ok...but big people / tall people etc....um....your feet might be dangling and you might get claustrophobia. The bathrooms are even smaller....but for a single traveler you can't be beat....for friends...sharing...can't be beat...why? Cause of the amazing bars on the premise and the location in Hells Kitchen or Chelsea as they call it these days.

This is my 3rd and last time I give this hotel a shot.
Very very small rooms.
Tiny bathrooms.
Expensive room service.
Nothing at this hotel is worth the stay.
Definitely getting old, you can tell by the furniture, walls and carpet.
And even though it may have been trendy a few years ago, the darkness of the reception area is borderline creepy.

I stayed here the first time in 2004 and loved it. Stayed there again in 2014 and, well, not so much. The rooms have definitely aged - with seemingly no updating. The place seems more like a nightclub than a hotel now. The library lounge that used to seem so relaxing is now a side show for the club scene taking place down the hall. The staff is relatively helpful but the rooms are just bad. In my first room the heating didn't work and after they moved me it banged when it did work but was not controllable by the thermostat.

Great walking distance to Columbus Circle, shopping, and Central Park but I'd never stay here again.

Room Tip: To get a good room stay somewhere else.

This is not a 4 star hotel by a long shot. Dirty, loud,no service ,not even bad service! Tiny ,tiny room.
Everything is broken. Bar of full of hoodlums and hookers and bridge and tunnel crowd. Hallways look like a prison, dark dank and dirty.
No doorman so anyone can come up to the rooms. The only good thing I can say is good location for theater and Central Park and subways. By the way I'm a native New Yorker. Be careful priceline rates this as a 4 star near Central Park south. Don't book a room here unless u r desperate !

Due to a miscommunication, the night shift manager offered 50% discount to upgrade my one-bed room to two-bed room so we pay $60 extra per night instead of $120. The room that they have given us is not big like from the other hotels but we're ok with that. However, when we tried to turn on the air conditioning, it didn't work until I called the front desk to complain. They sent the service tech up to my room and he fixed that in less than 10 minutes. Since he was here, I asked him why our water pressure in the shower room has been so low. After checking, we were told that the room they give us is actually for handicapped people, that's why the water pressure is set very low for safety. The only thing we can do is asking for the other room. I guess that's why they gave me 50% discount. I will talk to the front desk and request for another room to see what they do. Will update later!

The standard room was small, so small I did not want to spend any time in it. The hotel was ideally located, had great common spaces and very nice staff.....did I mention the room was extremely small. When a room is dominated by a bed and not much else it is difficult to recommend the hotel as an enjoyable experience.

Room Tip: At the end of my trip I was told by the hotel staff to upgrade my room to Deluxe or beyond for a bet...

If you want to spend a weekend of partying with beautiful people in a uber trendy surrounding then by all means this is the place for you. However, if you're looking for a nice romantic time, then stay somewhere else. Yes the place is beautiful, yes the rooms are tiny but comfortable. The shower is actually a decent size but using the toilet is a challenge if you're not a member of cirque du soleil.
Sleeping was the real issue for us between the noise of street, the music and crowd from the outdoor bars and the ac coming out of the bed headboard. In the evening it felt like residents were suddenly treated second best after the party goers, unless you can flash some cash. There are 5 bars and a 'restaurant' that serves hipster version of classic food, like fries cooked in duck fat and Kimchi hot dogs.
