Hotel Chandler is the best hotel to stay at in NYC because the service is second to none. They have undertaken a refurbishment of the whole hotel and it was good before but now it is even better. The staff are extremely accommodating and it boasts a great bar and restaurant. The rooms are spacious and the suites are devine! If you like all the above in a bespoke boutique style hotel then you should book in at the Hotel Chandler as you will NOT be disappointed!

Room Tip: The suite gives a little more space for chiilin' out but the standard rooms are also great.

We were very pleased with out recent stay at the Hotel Chandler in New York City. The first room we were given had an incredibly small bathroom. The only way to get in the shower without the door hitting the toilet was to open the door to the inside of the shower! After complaining to the front desk, the manager was very accommodating and offered a larger room on a higher floor. This room was very comfortable and the linens and towels were excellent. All the staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely choose to stay here on future trips to NY.

Dear meb665:

I am happy to hear that the front desk manager was able to find you a room that was more comfortable than the original room assigned. Unfortunately due to the nature of the building we do have varying sizes of rooms and bathrooms but we are always happy to find an option that works best for our guests.

I am delighted you will plan on staying with us again please do make sure to request the specific room you had on your last stay.

Yours sincerely,

Kate Martin

I had spent months trying to find a hotel in NYC for our recent trip but got a bit bogged down as there are millions! This sounds very sad but whilst watching an episode of the Real Housewives of New York (my guilty pleasure!), one of the wives husbands was the manager of Hotel Chandler and the camera's filmed around the hotel, it looked really classy so was pleased to see it was very reasonably priced so we booked it.

The hotel is in a perfect place, bang in the middle of Manhattan, almost under the Empire state! Inside feels very classy, unbelievably clean and the room was beautiful. The bed was so comfortable which was perfect after a hard days walking around the city. Molton Brown smellies that were replaced daily and mini bar stocked all the time. My boyfriend loved the bed turning down service, I think because of the chocolates!

The Staff were very friendly and helpful, we had limited time in New York and within the first half hour of arrival the concierge (think it was Charlie) had sorted out our tours and excursions as well as saving is some money.

The only slight negative was the bar prices, 2 glasses of wine set us back over $30....but what the hell we were on holiday! It was a bit noisy in the morning but this is New York so didn't expect any different, got us out of that comfy bed early so we could explore! (Saturday morning was almost silent though) I also regret that we did not eat in the restaurant, saw a few people eating the taster menu which looked fantastic and slightly Heston Blumenthal-esque.

In summary, central, friendly, comfortable, and very clean.

BTW, didn't see Simon van Kempen (he has moved on) but thanks to Bravo TV for show casing this hotel, would defiantly recommend.

Room Tip: We had our room booked but turned up early. Instead of making us wait they arranged another room wit...

After searching online and seeing this hotel mentioned several times, I decided to finally go to their own website and was happy to find a "48 hour" special offering very reasonable rates. I happened to be in NYC a week prior to when our stay was and went to the hotel to have a look. I met one of the front desk staff and was kindly offered to view the rooms I'd reserved. I was very happy with the size of the rooms and the overall feel of the hotel. Close to the attractions but just far off enough from the busy tourist areas, we found the location ideal. The deluxe King and Queen rooms were small but with enough room to move around and not feel restricted. The available coffee in the lobby is much appreciated first thing in the morning. Overall, I'm very happy with the choice we made and would stay again in the future.

We spent two nights in a deluxe king room and were very happy with it. It was a good value, especially for a midtown hotel. Though on the small side, the room was nicely furnished and very well appointed. The bathroom was small but functional. It reminded us of a European hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is great, convenient to Metro lines and Penn Station. We would be more than happy to stay there again, and are happy to recommend it.

I discovered this hotel through Small Luxury Hotels, of which I am a member. What a gem. It's in south midtown, which worked well for me. The neighborhood feels very safe and was pretty quiet . The employees were all wonderful, helpful, pleasant. The price is definitely on the lower side of nice NYC hotels (approx $340/night before taxes). The room I had was a double double which was very comfortable for two of us. The restaurant had nice breakfasts (the only meal we ate there) but it was definitely pricey ($14 for a bowl of fruit). I would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Our room faced 31st St and was surprisingly quiet.

Stayed here 6 nights with a friend in a 2 double bed Deluxe Room. The original room with the 2 beds was was on the small side, but it is NYC! Spoke to the manager & she was able to transfer us into an Executive Suite. The room was great. Comfortable, quiet - perfect! The staff from the Manager to the Doorman were all super friendly & so efficient. Great location & lovely decor. Would definitely stay again & recommend to anyone.
