This is a really nice hotel by Bryant park and the New York public library. The lobby is small but the Cellar bar is huge! There is a free happy hour - beers, wine and cocktails between 5 & 6 pm. The bedrooms are clean, simply furnished in cool whites and pale wood. The best thing is the bird sound machine. So soothing to drop off to. I would definitely recommend for business or leisure. Great location near subway and walking distance to shops, Times Square , theatre district and Rockerfeller centre.

We were looking for a place to stay in Midtown and based on several positive TripAdvisor reviews, we decide to try The Bryant Park Hotel & we're certainly glad we did. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with absolute professionalism & care. They go out of there way to make you feel special with little things like referring to you by your proper surname. Doormen, bellhop, elevator attendant, turn-down service...all very professional/courteous. The property is clean & well maintained. We had a Junior Suite which afforded us one of the few terraces in the hotel. Ours overlooking Bryant Park from the 19th floor. It really was a spectacular view of not only the park, but the Manhattan skyline. They were showing a movie in the park that night & I thought of going down to see some of it (The Shining), but couldn't tear myself away from that amazing view. The room perhaps a bit small for a suite by American standards, but certainly more space than a typical double room. We ordered a late night snack from the room service menu & the food was delivered promptly. The food was hot & well prepared. The location is really hard to beat. Walking distance from Grand Central Station & Times Square. Loads of dining opportunities in the area. We did not utilize the concierge service, but were advised they were there to handle any special requests from dinner reservations to show tickets & general directions/info. The only reason I'm not giving 5stars is due to the room not being ready at the scheduled check-in time of 3pm. Upon arrival we were advised it would be about an hour before the room was ready. Though it did throw us off our scheduled plan to relax before heading out for dinner; it wasn't a big issue for us. It's NYC so there were plenty of things to do for the hour. The staff advised they would call me on my cell when the room was ready & they did exactly that. Overall a fantastic experience. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a boutique hotel in Midtown. Kudos Bryant Park Hotel...we'll be back for sure and we want the same room..lol.

This is the second year in a row my family and I have stayed here, and it won't be the last. The hotel has a great location. We were within walking distance of plays, museums, and restaurants. The weather was so nice, we even took a 30-block walk to take a Central Park tour.

In addition, the entire staff is super-friendly.

It was the perfect hotel for us two years in a row, and we will be back.

Room Tip: Spring for a junior suite. It's a big room with a sizable bathroom. Plus, these rooms overlook...

Was in for a wedding in the park. Staff was great on arrival and throughout the stay. Very courteous and helpful. The rub, the hotel is well...the elevator is small, dark and deep red...girlfriend said it is the ride to hell. The hallways are very, very dark...could not find the slot for the room card. The room, bright, white and clean but cramped. Bathroom was huge, a bit of a problem with the water adjustments in the shower. The room, cramped and the bed mattress needs replaced quite thin and uncomfortable. At the price they can afford it.

This was not our first stay, and it will not be the last. The staff was so helpful and friendly, each of them going out of their way to make our stay special. We got the breakfast package and it was not only beautiful but very tasty. The free happy hour during the weekday is an added little bonus as the bar is beautiful and the food is excellent. And last but not least, the room was so clean and comfortable with a wonderful view of Bryant Park.
I love the central location and even the Hotel, formerly the American Radiator Building, is beautiful. We could not have wished for a better hotel experience. I am looking forward to our next stay.

Room Tip: I love the junior suites with the great view of the park and large bathrooms. They are fabulous.

I stay at the Bryant Park hotel quite often. The staff is extremely attentive and the rooms are bigger than the typical nyc hotel rooms. The room service is great and quick. There is a great bar downstairs if you want to meet up with friends during your stay. The room is quiet even with the bar that gets busy on the weekend.

I recently stayed at The Bryant Park Hotel located Midtown, minutes from Times Square, Grand Central Terminal, Rockefeller Centre and The Empire State Building. The exterior is marvellous, inside is minimalistic but very efficient and effective from the friendly and helpful reception staff to the concierge. I had arrived earlier than my check-in time and so needed to wait for a room to become available. The room itself is quite basic and perhaps a few more pictures/ornaments might help to improve the blandness. However the shower is one of the best I've experienced and the bed is very comfortable. Sadly no complimentary water on offer here but it has everything you would expect in a good hotel. To get to the hotel from Newark Airport, you can take the shuttle bus. Warning: on your way back to the airport, leave sufficient time to accommodate traffic and what is quite possibly the worst airport security check in procedure I have ever experienced in my life. Theres a supermarket just outside the hotel as well as one that has late opening hours around the corner. You're next to fifth avenue to get to all the sights as previously mentioned. Had no problem with any noise. If you require for your room such as cutlery/bowls, this can take some time for them to arrive unfortunately. But these shouldn't take away from a highly recommend and wonderful hotel.
