Our small group walked north from City Hall learning how the city grew and changed over 200 years including reference to native Americans and early settlers. We walked and talked for 2 hours and toured Little Italy, Chinatown and Greenwich Village. Plenty of historical points of interest, presented with an intelligent perspective on why the city developed as it did. Each member of our group was engaged by the tour guide to be sure he was addressing our areas of interest. Now we are both inspired to return and explore some areas more extensively and better informed about landmarks that we will recognize in movies and the news.
