“Most welcoming and kind staff”
Reviewed 26 June 2014

I have been to USA before and I must say staff here are great Sergio, Maria, Mary....and all the rest are great.. I will not forgot their invaluable presence as they work. The place is generally very clean. It is a great place to.. especially to youth... The free Pizzas and drinks on Monday were good. The building is old, solid and feels OK... The bathrooms are also very clean. If you are visiting New York its a warm and safe place to be... if you are are (old like me.).. the youth are fine lads to be with.... restaurants around super!! all the best

i need to say thank you, for the great experience i made! i arrived in new york without any plan where to go or where to sleep. Fortunately i found that hostel. where i felt satisfied right from the first moment. the person who did welcome me, introduced himself ( josé ) and was very kind and helpful. whatever i needed to know or to do, he allways had a solution. Also i met a lot of people from all over the world and established new friendships. i really miss this great time and these awesome people! i hope i can come back as soon as possible!! thank you!

I recommend this hostel to people that are looking for a party atmosphere. Franky the night tour guide really shows a good time. Beds are plastic if you're a backpacker it's perfect. Breakfast is ok I guess could use a bit of more protein in their selection. Bathrooms are shared bring your own soap and towels. Make sure ac works mine wasn't working it would turn on and off. And keys are always deactivating. Front desk is very helpful and warm welcoming. They don't have a problem in helping you in special Maria very friendly gorgeous smile seems to really like what she does she deserves a star. Central Park is near and they rent bikes. Vacation and excercise goes great. Recommend to all!!

Room Tip: Cheapest is 8 bedroom

The front desk stuff is really nice and helpful. Especially Mary and Maria. Both girls have great personallity. This girls really wanna help you and make your stay to great experience. Tipp to the managere the are keepers. :-)
The rest of the front desk stuff was also very nice and helpful.
The hostel itself offers free evening programm and free breakfast. Bagels, Muffin, Cerials, Fruits, Caffee and Juice is a pretty big breakfast variety for a hostel.

Even though the hostel has nothing to do with Jazz my stay was pretty dope. Great location, Central Park is like literally two minutes away. Staff was very helpful; beautiful receptionist makes you want to extend your stay HAHA! The event coordinator was super dope although I believe there are better bars in New York then the ones that we were taken to. Cleanliness can improve, extra towels perhaps and cleaner bathrooms. Breakfast isn't 5 star but at least it's free!! Beds should be twins and not bunk beds as shown on their website (this was actually the part I least enjoyed). I will return in September for a longer stay!!

I guess it's a good value for such a great location, it's perfect for young people and explorers.. the staff are friendly and helpful most of the time. Being opposite to the central park allowed me to do sport everyday. I would recommend it to my friends and will never forget Sergio; he is such a star..

Knowing this is a Hostel gave me confidence that the people would be helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the 'Comedy in the Dungeon'; met some great comedians - thanks Jazz on the Park! Basics provided and that is what we needed. The location allows for walking and getting out of the room to explore the city.
