“Fun for even a life long New Yorker”
Reviewed 4 November 2013

This is a fun tour of Central Park that covers many of the major sites throughout the park. Matt, our guide was knowledgeable and very engaging. I especially enjoyed some of the lesser known trivia about some of the locations. As luck would have it we enjoyed an almost perfect day of fall weather which added to the experience but its Central Park so it would be hard not to enjoy it except on the worst of weather days. Be advised the tour is about 21/2 hours and there is a lot of walking involved at a fairly good clip from point to point. For walkers such as myself that was great but if you have trouble walking this could be an issue. The group size was 11 which was decent and you didnt feel like you were walking with a mob. There is lots of room to ask questions and Matt was very well versed in the city's history to answer them. As the title says Im a native New Yorker but it was fun to play tourist and see the park from a different perspective. Budget alert. Tickets are sometimes offered through Goldstar which will help you stretch your dollar. No matter what a great value and great time.

“lots of fun”
Reviewed 23 October 2013

I recently took this tour and Matt was our guide. It was an incredible journey. In addition to seeing highlights of the park, we also saw at least 4 brides and grooms getting photographed along with a couple getting engaged while we were standing at the Castle. There was so much activity in the park with the musicians, performers of all kinds and just people watching. Matt did a great job for us and it was lots of fun. I would definitely recommend this tour.

“central park sunset tour”
Reviewed 13 October 2013

Matt our guide was excellent and his pace suited all ages. We live in NYC and never learned so much about the history, design and construction of the park. This was one of the most delightful and informative activities that I have ever done in my 40 years living on the edge of the park- and all of the credit goes to our guide MATT! It would be so nice if IVY gave the promised vouchers for the free drink.

“Great tour”
Reviewed 9 September 2013

I did this tour just 2 days ago. I have done a lot of walking tours in the US and elsewhere and this one was very good.
Our guide, Elizabeth, was very good and really knew her stuff. Its a great way to learn more about the park and to see so many differnet parts of it. The park is huge so your average person on vacation is not going to get to see a lot of it in a short space of time unless they do a tour like this. The time of the tour also means you can get some great photos.
We also saw some wild raccoons climbing down a tree which was very exciting (well for me anyway, we don't see that thype of thing in England).
I would definitely recommend this tour.

“Great way to get familiar with Central Park”
Reviewed 5 September 2013

We did this tour on a recommendation from a friend and loved it. Unfortunately it rained but that didn't seem to dampen the spirit of our guide Caroline or our group. In the time we had we got a comprehensive history and some exercise! We did this after a flight from Australia so it was a great way to stay awake and learn something at the same time. You don't realise how big or how much there is to see until you have someone taking you around the highlights. I would do this again.
