Owner description: A quiet oasis in the middle of New York City, a place to get away from the hectic pace, people-watch, hike or just ride a bike.

If you're going to the Met Cloisters, add in some time to walk through this swath of English garden style perennial borders along with with woodsy walks with a view of the Hudson River. Very peaceful spot, a great place to spend the morning away from the crowds.

This is an absolute gorgeous park in uptown New York and we probably missed it if we have not decided to walk through Harlem on our way back from The Cloisters (a must to visit). Hilly but it comes with lovely views of the Hudson.

Take time to take the A Train to 190th St. and visit Fort Tryon Park, which includes The Cloisters, beautiful flower gardens (including a heather garden), incredible views of the Hudson River, trails and a dog park. Beautiful at all times of year! I never tire of it.

Fort Tyron park is a beautiful park tucked away in upper Manhattan. With sprawling lawns and amazing views of the Hudson River and the Palisades many brides use this picturesque park for wedding pictures it’s great for a picnic or for just a stroll with the children . Fort Tyron park also has a restaurant and let’s not forget The Cloisters Museum a great castle with amazing art and gardens .

You don't have to walk through this park to get to The Cloisters but most people do and it is worth a stop off in its own right. You can tell this park is extremely well-cared for and it is designed masterfully. I would say I enjoyed this spot more than Central Park.
