Very Good

This hotel has very nice breakfast, it is central, rooms are very clean. I think one of the best in New York. Elevator queue is a little bit problem in the morning time but still it is the best in New York

We stopped here for three nights when visiting New York. The location is very good being central and close to Times Square. Walking distance to the Empire State Building and a number of other attractions. The room was spacious and clean and equipped with a small kitchenette. The staff were friendly and helpful. you can walk to Penn Station from the hotel in about 10 - 15 minutes.
A good standard hotel, nice buffet style breakfast, everything worked in the room.

Staff members at the desk,(especially Peunde and Deliah) those helping with bags (especially Jaime) and those helping with breakfast (especially the woman who takes care of cleaning and attending to the front lounge area) are all EXTREMELY attentive, friendly and competent. The hotel is clean and contains a kitchenette (fridge, microwave and stovetop) in every room. Breakfast contains more variety of both hot and cold items than I have seen at any hotel where I have stayed. Cut fruit is fresh and plentiful daily, with many more choices safe for gluten free individuals. Free luggage storage at arrival before check in and after check out until leaving the city is a GREAT perk. A lightbulb went out in our room during our stay. The front desk was extremely pleasant and sent a maintenance engineer within minutes to fix it! GREAT SERVICE with GREAT PEOPLE all the way around. I will always stay at this hotel when in the city!

Room tip: Lower floors have less wait time in elevator, as it makes numerous stops at various floors at breakfast and check in/check out times.

Stayed with my husband for 4 nights and a further 2 nights in August and we were generally very happy with our stay. Check in was efficient and staff were friendly. The room was a decent size and clean, most importantly the bed was comfy, the shower hot and powerful and the WiFi good. The kitchen area was well equipped for a short stay.

Breakfast each morning was good, although it was pretty much the same choice and things did run out, on our last morning the bacon had run out just after 9, I asked if there was anymore and was told no it had all gone, despite breakfast being available until 10. There is a free get together buffet on Monday and Tuesday, which includes drinks and that was excellent and a very nice touch.

The lifts were slow and could get very busy in the mornings, we were trying to get down from the 13th floor with suitcases at 9am as we had a train to catch and it took us over 20 minutes to find a lift we could fit in which was a bit stressful.

The location is good for the Times Square area and there is a subway station 5 minutes walk away to get further.

We were a bit shocked to be told on arrival that there would be a $5 charge per day for housekeeping, this wasn’t indicated on our booking email, we were told to leave our ‘do not disturb’ sign on the door and housekeeping wouldn’t come in if we didn’t want to pay but this also meant things like bins didn’t get emptied which is something that should be standard.

We would stay here again if we went back to NY

We had a good experience at Staybridge Suites. We were on the 27th floor and our rooms were very nice and clean. The breakfast was good, two options either the basement or first floor. The staff was very nice and helpful. Jamie, at the transportation desk, made our son very happy when he let him play drums with him while we were waiting in the lobby! The elevators do take a bit as there are only 3 and many floors, but if you allow time, it isn't a problem. Location was good, although definitely experienced the dirtier side of NYC when walking from hotel. But the hotel end of the street is nice and clean. Definitely recommmend Shorty's Cheesesteak restaurant and 2 Bros Pizza as close options to eat.
