The place is quite small and relaxed considering the position (heart of the financial district, facing the Ground Zero site). The place was quite clean and tidy. Ordered 2 different curry dishes, made with chicken and fish. The staff was nice and the service quite quick. Food quality is good. We liked very much this quick stop for lunch...!

Perfectly located near the WTC memorial. North Indian food that tasted like it was cooked by a real cook, not just vegetables and meat mixed up with cream cheese and "curry powder" like a lot of places. Small, full of PIO's that looked like they work nearby. We had chai, samosas, channa masala, aloo ghobi, (eh, they mixed the potato order up but still tasty,) goat curry, and saag paneer. Iowan family of five left well fed and happy.

Great food, good location next to WTC Memorial. Their lunchtime special make this a destination you won't want to miss.

It seemed their lunchtime offer was good value. However, don't be fooled.

I had mutton curry and my hubby had chicken biryani. Both were terrible and in fact the curry was so devoid of any meat on the few bones and large lumps of gristle swimming in it, that I sent it back and the waiter agreed it was inedible. The biryani was dry, flavourless and ... boring. Certainly not to the standards of Indian food we get in Yorkshire (England!).

I also asked for a buttered nan but this was rank - the butter was off and I don't mean ghee sour ... it was spoiled.

We only popped in due to the wet weather after an incredible experience at Ground Zero - my advice - give it a miss and find something better, even if it is cold and rainy!

We were in search of Indina food while in New York and wandered over to Ruchi. What a great find. We had the chicken Korma and the Chicken Chettinad. The Chettinad was something I had never had but it was AMAZING! The restaurant itself is beautiful and has a great feel. We had two meals, naan, a glass of wine and some rice and it was more than enough food for two people and resonably priced considering we were eating dinner in NYC!
