“Great value hotel to explore New York City”
Reviewed 19 June 2014 via mobile

This hotel has a great location as it is easy to walk to many of the major sights in the city.Times square is about five minutes walk away but there is no street noise to disturb your nights sleep. The Empire State Building,Rockefeller Centre, central park, times square, fifth avenue are all within easy walking distance.
The rooms were a nice size, with comfortable beds and wifi access. Breakfast was basic but you would get enough to keep you going til lunch. I would definitely recommend this hotel based on location and price.

Rooms at this hotel for two nights for a nursing school reunion (6 of us) were completely satisfying. Clean rooms, good service, comfortable beds, satisfactory breakfast (included) and consideration of our request to have rooms next to each other were all well met. Coffee /hot chocolate machine available 24/7 - how nice!

Room Tip: 9th floor corner room (not suite) was very good - not bothered by street noise, good daylight.

Just spent 3 nights with family at this hotel. Were really sceptic after reading so many bad reviews, BUT..we were pleasantly surprised. Great value for money and exceptional location. You can't get anything better. Hotel is little outdated, but so is every other hotel in NYC, even the 5 star ones. We had a great size room on the 9th floor, no problem with AC or TV, cleaning was good and we never had to wait for elevator more than 3-4 minutes. We didn't notice any noise from corridor or or even street. Staff is friendly, helpful and quick, even if hotel was fully booked.
We are definitely staying in this hotel again!

My boyfriend and I stayed 4 nights in May. We couldn't have been happier with hotel, room and bathroom spotless, fresh towels daily, A/C worked perfect and not noisy!! Shampoo and shower gel provided in dispenser was great. We had a problem with flush in our toilet was reported and fixed within 20 mins. Breakfast was busy every morning and sometimes hard to get seated but we did leave it to peek time. Great selection for breakfast to get you started. Another plus was ice machine, and free tea/coffee in lobby. Couldn't ask for a more central location between 5th ave and Times Square. Can also highly recommend The Lion King, Minskoff Theatre, our tickets were bought as a present before we went but you can purchase them in Times Square and if you queue can get discounted tickets, well worth a visit it was fantastic. Overall would defiantly return to this hotel and highly recommend it.

Couldn't have asked for anything more from this little gem of a hotel! Right in the heart of all the buzz. A couple of minutes walk to Times Square, Rockefeller Centre, 5th Avenue, Broadway, subway stations......the list goes on! We spent very little time in this hotel as there is so much to see and do but would happily have spent much more time there. Very comfortable rooms with great beds, good bathroom and shower and great selection of TV channels to wind down at night. Breakfast was a Continental selection, so perhaps a little limited but perfectly edible. Lets be honest, who needs breakfast in the hotel when there is so much happening on your doorstep. Staff were friendly, helpful and informative. Can't believe you can stay at this hotel in this location for such a great price! Will DEFINITELY be returning to The Hotel @ Times Square.

Room Tip: As it only has 12 floors your view is very limited by the huge buildings surrounding you. Try for a...

Stayed here for a week in May. Read many reviews for this hotel beforehand and turned out we couldn't be happier with our choice. Ideally situated as the name suggests rooms were bigger than a lot of more expensive hotels here and were very clean bed was the the most comfortable we have ever had in any hotel. Bathroom was good size and again spotlessly clean..Breakfasts included in price is a real bonus in New York and they were more than adequate to start the day off well. The lounge area is very nice an ideal spot to chill after a hectic day the bar is one of the smallest you will find but a great place to relax and chat. Free coffee machine on ground floor was VERY well utilised. Staff throughout hotel extremely friendly and will make your stay so much nicer. Yes some of the décor in halls could do with upgrade but as you will probably only be out all day and night its not a problem Overall really enjoyed stay and would definitely recommend to anyone Well done to all at the hotel and thank you.

Excellent location for sightseeing and all other tourist activities, if you are planning to spend most of the time around the times square. Good place to stay for a while
Good value for the price. I read reviews about the noise but it wasn't bad at all. Manage your expectations---remember you're staying in NYC. Those are the sounds of the city. The lobby was nice and welcoming as we're the staff. There were lots of guests using the different amenities-computer, printers, having breakfast or coffee. I was in a spacious room on the 8th floor with a lovely view of the park across the street. My bed was very comfortable. The hotel is in a great location overall with affordable dining options near by. Cafe Europe has delicious made-to-order fast food about a block away. The Red Flame is a diner 2 blocks over. They offer lots of hot breakfast choices under $10 including coffee. I splurged for dinner at Del Friscos also close,
