I was looking forward to staying at this hotel. The A/C in the room did not work well. Despite sending an engineer up to the room at 3:30pm and 9:30pm, the temperature in the room never fell below 73 degrees. The hotel could not accommodate me in a different room. Also, after checking into the hotel, I proceeded to my room and there was already someone in it (we were both quite startled). The front desk staff did feel bad about the mistake. Otherwise there was nothing special about the hotel.

Paul,

Thank you for your feedback in regards to the A/C not working in your room. I've worked with maintenance to fix the issue, however, I apologize that it wasn't resolved sooner. We are very sorry for the mistake at the front desk and that your reserved room was already occupied. Thank you again for your review and I invite you to stay with us the next time you return to the area.

Kind Regards,
Jimmy

Just returned from 4 days visiting NYC & staying here. I have nothing negative to say. It was clean, friendly & accessible to everything.. The parking is such a perk too. Our meals were great & the bartenders charming. Great for families, romance, business or just getting away. I have to imagine the rates will sky rocket once the WTC is completed, so take advantage of it now.

We stayed here Friday 20th to 23rd June! What a great hotel! The bell boy or porter had a brilliant personality. Showed us to our room, put all lights on! All things he should tell you. Always a friendly face whatever time of the day or night you go in or out. We made use of free wifi in lobby. On our last night we went to the bar on level 3, it was great! The barman's was fantastic! We had a good chat with him, he made a great espresso martini! We got talking to a couple also sitting at the bar from Boston, great friendly hotel & if we ever go back to New York, I would stay here again.
I forgot to mention the room was huge and the view was beautiful!

Lovely hotel right near the World Trade Memorial. It is easy to get around being close to the subway and it is easy to get cabs. Our room was lovely and not a bad size for New York -we had some amazing views out of our window. The staff were helpful and the free wifi in the lobby was a bonus.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor as possible -we got the 52nd floor

The weekend rates make this Hilton worth a stay if you don't mind taking a cab or mass transit to get uptown. The junior suite corner rooms still afford gorgeous views, but the furniture and carpeting could use some updating.Proximity to the new 9/11 museum is a plus, but there's still major construction going on.

Came in town with family for Yankees Red Sox. Hotel was very clean and accomodating, especially for NYC. Staff was very friendly and concierge helped with travel for 5 to the airport. Short walk to subway and direct train to Yankee Stadium. Nice walk ot WTC memorial and excellent view of Freedom Tower.

Room Tip: ASk foir a king facing the Freedom Tower. Payan upgrade if needed, the view is astounding.

If you stay at this hotel, you are within a short walk to WTC. We had a corner room with a great view and up high enough from the street and construction noise. Hotel was nice and the rooms were clean. The only issue we had is that the room did not cool off enough over night. Starbucks is connected to this hotel. Would stay at this hotel again.

Room Tip: WTC is still under construction. Pick a high floor room to be able to see above construction and av...
