“I love this place!”

I come in and out of NY on a regular basis - I need a reliable, friendly, high quality, upbeat but relaxing oasis when I get there and the NoMad has exceeded my expectations on every visit. I love that all the rooms are different - a little surprise every time you stay - but the service is always the same, impeccable. And the roof garden....I hear is being converted to a function space for the colder months, but their Mai Tai is the BEST. The NoMad is a trusted friend.

I stayed at the NoMad for one night during the Labor Day long weekend, and I specifically chose this hotel after reading about its grand opening in April.

Right in the heart of Manhattan, the NoMad is a bit hidden but very conveniently located. Upon checking in, the staff was extremely kind and I was pleasantly surprised to have been upgraded from an Atelier to a Salon.

The decor is dark and sophisticated, using rich fabrics, wood, and leather. My room was gorgeous and extremely spacious, complete with polished wood floors, huge doors, love seat and reading chair, bathroom with separate water closet, plush queen bed with luxurious bedding, and tasteful artwork everywhere.

I didn't even have time to eat at the restaurant, but the beautiful bar features a long mahogany slab and sexy details everywhere, not to mention excellent cocktails.

Overall, it was was wonderful to enjoy the rush and excitement of NYC, and then retire to a quiet, elegant place so conveniently located. I'll be back.

Very elegant hotel with beautifully designed and well appointed rooms.
The staff were very helpful and made the stay a pleasure.
The restaurant and bar are amazing so be sure to check them out for at least 1 night of your stay -you will not be disappointed.

From the minute you arrive at The NoMad and are greeted by arguably the best, nicest doormen/valets in NYC you know you have made a wise choice in where to stay. A nicely appointed, albeit compact, lobby and recption area exudes charm and style. The front desk staff is friendly and efficient and gets you to your room quickly. Our room was the Atelier level and it was spotlessly clean, beautiful, not gigantic but it had a big feel to it and it was plush, soft fabrics everywhere that nicely contrasted with the wood floors (yes, beautiful refinished wood floors, where else you going to find that in NYC?). Bed and bedding was, for us, perfect, definately the Goldilocks bed.

Everyone we encountered in the hotel was extremely pleasant, all in all just a wonder overnight stay. WOuld recommend to even out most decerning close friends.

Room Tip: The neighborhood is still in transition so higher floor rooms on the Broadway side will present a mo...

The moment you step into the lobby you're instantly transported to a more refined and elegant era. The decor is gorgeous and the waiting staff provided excellent service. The room itself is bit bigger than average, and tastefully decorated much like the rest of the hotel. The sheets deserve special mention (Sferra!).

We tried dinner one night at the NoMad restaurant and were very impressed with the experience in terms of service and food. The signature roast chicken dish was well executed, but not to my taste. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone else (we had a 9 month old infant) and will gladly return next year.

I was dreading booking a hotel in NY, to land in an overpriced, run-down hotel, so I was specifically looking for new openings. It turned out to be an excellent choice. Great location, wonderful hotel with quite spacious rooms for NY standards. Service was also impeccable. We were treated with a bottle of champagne, as it was our anniversary night. Very kind of the management. I can highly recommend this hotel, and it would probably be my first choice of hotel when returning to the city.

The NoMad has a dramatic, classy and timeless feel. It's old Parisian yet so fresh and updated. In the rooms, its rich, dark leather headboards and dark wooden tables contrast beautifully against the luxuriously plump, snow white linens. The gorgeous bed blankets are saturated in rich hues. The hardwood floors look and feel like the authentic, antique planks you'd find in old European hotels. On the floor is a beautiful rug (again) with a special antiquity about it. In the bathroom are white and gray marble counters, shiny faucets and mosaic floors all throughout. The website photos are exactly as pictured but I've added a couple more. The Parlor Restaurant (and there are several areas to eat in this hotel) was outstanding!! This Swiss chef has to be one of the most acclaimed in NYC. I don't think I've ever had duck cooked so exquisitely ... yum. The four of us had a couple of meals there and everything was just great--every time.

Unfortunately, the NoMad's service was not that great--not terribly bad, but no where near what it needs to be. Some expert hospitality training would do wonders. One other minor, yet rather frustrating aspect of this hotel is that the lighting in the Lobby, The Library and The Atrium was too dark. We were not the only ones to notice this. Every other eating area was just right--intimate, private and very lovely.

At night we took a cab. During the day it felt pretty safe to walk everywhere, but it's in a run down area at 28th and Broadway. And though within just a few blocks you can be in some really great areas of Manhattan, the actual neighborhood itself is not desirable and it doesn't feel that safe. I really hope this area of the Flatiron District can rise up to the standard of this great hotel.

This is a perfectly wonderful and gorgeous boutique hotel (though too pricey for the neighborhood and the average service), but overall it was a treat for us to be guests for 4 days.

Room Tip: There are rooms with 2 queens (the salon rooms) that are not indicated on the website. Rooms facing...
